I recently visited the Dominoās Ambattur branch, and to be honest, the experience was quite disappointing. While Dominoās is usually known for its consistency and quality, this particular outlet did not meet even the basic expectations.
Firstly, the quantity of food served here is not convincing at all. For the price paid, the portions felt very limited, and it left me questioning whether I was getting value for money. Along with this, the quality of the food was below average. The pizza base and bread items had an overpowering yeasty smell, which made it less appetizing. Instead of the fresh, cheesy aroma that Dominoās is usually associated with, the outlet itself had a strong yeasty odor, which was unpleasant and distracting. I would strongly suggest that the management consider using room fresheners or improving ventilation to create a better dining experience for customers.
Another surprising issue was the way the food was served. The staff did not serve it in proper trays, and the presentation felt careless. For a brand as big as Dominoās, this kind of service standard is not acceptable. Presentation and basic hygiene go a long way in making the customer feel comfortable, and unfortunately, this branch completely missed that mark.
On the positive side, I must admit that the delivery service is punctual and on time, which is one area they manage well. However, timely delivery alone cannot make up for the poor quality and unpleasant dining experience.
Overall, I would rate the Dominoās Ambattur branch poorly for food quality, presentation, and atmosphere. I sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously and works on improving the quality, serving standards, and ambience. I always call the delivery person in advance and inform them that itās just 2 minutes inside from the map location. Today, I did the same and informed the delivery person, Mr. Sanjay. But his behaviour was extremely rude. He said he couldnāt come inside and cancelled my first order (Order No. 69) after making me wait for almost an hour. I immediately called Dominoās customer care and explained that my location is not far, just a few minutes inside. They assured me I could reorder, so I placed the order again (Order No. 94). Unfortunately, the same delivery person handled it again. He spoke rudely once more, refused to deliver, and cancelled my order again after speaking to someone else. I even requested him politely, saying that the order was for my young son who had been waiting eagerly for a long time. Still, without showing any basic humanity or understanding, he refused to deliver and cancelled the order. In total, my order was cancelled three times, and I ended up waiting for nearly 3 hours ā only to be disappointed and disrespected. Is this how a staff member should behave with customers? This level of service and attitude is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. This will definitely be my last order from Dominoās. We were checking the app continiously and it was showing as being baked for more than a hour. We were unable to contact them through any means as virtual assistant was poping out with just 3 option as we ordered pizza in everyday value also there was no other option to make any redemption. When you have kept evd offer you have to treat those customers in same way as every other.There was no contact number for Dominos ambattur unit, Also it was first listed as Balaji was delivering the pizza and his location was showing next street from our House. When we called him he replied that he took the wrong order and other one will be arriving with our order but the app was showing earlier delivery person details so we totally got frustrated by ordering a pizza for dinner. By repeated calls we got new persons details and was again guiding with the routes complete time waste finally the pizza arrived in chilled state not even little hot also the order was not closed till 10 pm.
