Review of Bumi Aki Signature
Bumi Aki Signature presents itself as a high-end dining option, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Here’s a detailed review:
Ambiance
The restaurant has a pleasant and cozy atmosphere, with a blend of modern and traditional Indonesian decor. However, the ambiance doesn’t compensate for the disappointing dining experience.
Food Quality
• Order Accuracy: The biggest issue was the mismatch between what we ordered and what we received. Dishes arrived that were different from the menu descriptions, leading to confusion and dissatisfaction. • Taste: The food itself was mediocre at best. While the flavors were decent in some dishes, others were bland and lacked the authentic Indonesian taste the restaurant claims to offer. • Portions: Given the price, the portions were smaller than expected, which added to the disappointment.
Service
The service left much to be desired: • Staff Attitude: While some staff members were polite, others appeared inattentive and unhelpful when addressing our concerns about the incorrect orders. • Waiting Time: The food took a long time to arrive, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy.
Pricing
The prices are on the higher side, which raises expectations for better quality food and service. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not justify the cost.
Suggestions for Improvement
Ensure that the dishes served match what is described on the menu. Train staff to be more attentive and proactive in addressing customer concerns. Improve the overall food quality and portion sizes to align with the pricing.
Overall Rating
2/5 – Bumi Aki Signature fails to deliver the premium dining experience it advertises. With mismatched orders, lackluster food, and below-average service, the restaurant needs significant improvements to meet customer expectations, especially given...
Read moreHad my mom’s bday lunch here on April 4th 2025 with a great excitement but it turned into disappointment.
I made a reservation through their website a week prior, chose the seating area on 2nd floor and picked non-smoking area, also added a request for lesehan area since we have a newborn baby with us, the reservation was also confirmed through whatsapp by their customer service.
I thought it was all set and good until the day of my visit only to get assigned to a sofa table on outdoor smoking area.. to share in detail why i feel disappointed: there’s no greeter on the entrance, i had to stand looking confused in the middle of dining area for a while until one of the employee came to me they didn’t note my reservation correctly regarding the request to be seated on lesehan area The 2nd floor turns to be all smoking area, in which i wasn’t aware when making the reservation since it wasn’t stated on the website anyway. The customer service didn’t even bother to let me know about this while i clearly stated i wanted a non-smoking area (refer to attached screenshots as proof) When i asked for a non-smoking table, they said it was full at the moment and offered me a table which can only occupy less than my reservation, told me they will assigned me an additional table later when it’s free, which for me it is a hassle since a came in a group of family with elders, toddler and newborn baby
To be fair, i also appreciate the hospitality of waiters on 2nd floor indoor lesehan area, which luckily i ended up, but still it is a smoking area. Thanks for congratulating my mom’s bday with decorated cake (it is paid, not complimentary, just to be clear)
With the price offered, which i believe on par with other proper dining restaurants, i thought the experience would be seamless. Turns out it does cost me my patience.. overall not really a pleasant...
Read moreBumi Aki Signature Sentul offers a truly elevated Indonesian dining experience. From the moment you step in, the high-class decor sets a wonderful mood, making the whole meal feel special. The service was absolutely top-notch, and Mas Ihsan in particular deserves a shout-out for his excellent attention. It’s clear they put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome and well-cared for, which really enhances the overall atmosphere.
The food, while generally good, has a few areas where it could shine even brighter. The Tahu Gejrot was a definite highlight – perfectly crispy and full of flavor. However, I found that some dishes could benefit from bolder seasoning to truly bring out their potential. For instance, my Nasi Goreng Iga Lado Ijo had a great level of spice, but the meat seemed to have been cooked a bit too long, affecting its texture.
To wrap up the meal, I tried the Pisang Ijo. While good, I personally think it would be even better served without the vanilla ice cream, sticking closer to its traditional presentation. Despite these minor points, my visit to Bumi Aki Signature Sentul was a positive one. I had a good experience and will certainly return to try more of their menu when I'm...
