Kumulilir is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Ubud. Honestly speaking, I went to three different spots to compare swing prices, and the affordable rates here were truly the best!
Their dresses are spotless â dry-cleaned, freshly packed, and never reused. You always get a clean and fresh dress, which I really appreciated. The team was so kind, patient, and cooperative that I canât thank them enough.
I have a phobia of heights, but I came to Bali mainly for the swing experience â so I had to do it! I was extremely nervous and anxious (and yes, I even scolded my husband a bit đ), but the team was incredibly supportive. They kept reassuring me, gave me gentle pushes, and helped me overcome my fear completely. They were patient with all my drama and made the whole experience unforgettable!
Another thing I loved is that they donât charge extra for professional photos like many other places do. Their team is well-organized â one person takes photos and videos from your own phone, two people help with the swing, and thereâs also a professional photographer on-site.
Apart from the swing, the place itself is absolutely stunning â surrounded by nature, full of greenery, and completely eco-friendly. They also have a lovely cafĂŠ with a variety of coffees and drinks. From the moment you step in, one staff member personally assists you throughout your visit.
For the pricing: ⢠Dress rental: 150K IDR ⢠Single swing: 250K IDR ⢠Couple swing: 250K IDR
The girl who helped us, Ayu, was so sweet and friendly. She explained everything about the local plants, shared cultural details, and made our experience even more special.
It was such a lovely and memorable time. If youâre visiting Ubud, Kumulilir is a must-visit! Youâll get adventure, nature, and amazing hospitality all in...
Read moreWhen I saw that I would be stopping on a âcoffee and tea plantationâ with a swing, I thought... tourist trap, guaranteed. But it is not. Or better, of course it is, but it is a good trap. Of course the whole thing is planned to extract money from you, but no one forces you to spend a dime. The guide talks about the different things they grow there, explain the process of making the luwak coffee, shows us the animals, and then takes us to sampling all their coffee and tea. They are all free, except the luwak, which costs 70k for a small cup. Again, you pay if you want. Also as part of the tour they take you, if you want, to the swing. The price was included on my day tour of Bali, so I donât know how much it cost to swing. But I know this: it is a great experience. I was a bit dizzy and nauseated at the end, but it was fun. If you are afraid of heights, probably you will not want to do it. However, if you want to try to break your fear, this is perfect: it is totally safe, and the crew is really careful. Plus they will stop as soon as you say stop, so, it is the best place to be âbraveâ. The only thing that they should do better is the âdisplayâ of the animals themselves. They show two luwak cats on a cage, eating coffee. They explained to us that the coffee is actually collected from farmers in the wild, so really, this is just a show of two caged wild animals. I think they should either provide a better enclosure or just show.a video of the cats...
Read moreHidden in the forest somewhat, this place offers more than just coffee/tea tastings.
Walking through rice patties initially, you make your way around their garden, with a guide who offers an in-depth look at their variety of spices and fruits growing in their plantation.
They have a big cage where they house 2-3 Luwaks. The cage is very clean, a lot of food offering for them but the public is not allowed to touch them. We asked about their treatment of the Luwaks and they said they release them and look after them. Considering animal treatment, it is a better level of treatment than most.
They have a set up where they show the different stages of getting their Balinese Coffee beans ready which is really interesting.
They finish off with a beautiful cafe overlooking the forest with different spots for photo opportunities. The cafe offers their signature 5 tea / 5 coffee tasting which I would highly recommend as well as a lunch menu. The food was great and reasonably priced.
They have a shop just behind the cafe where you can purchase any of the teas/coffees. The shop and cafe accept all major credit cards which is a bonus.
Overall, a perfect spot to unwind, learning about the coffee/tea sector of Bali in about 2-3 hours if you arenât in a rush.
