Royal Kemala Villa — Local services in Pulau Bali

Straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie, this place was magical—imagine being surrounded by nothing but greenery and the sounds of animals. Ubud is a magical place, but we all know that the influx of tourists in Bali has made everything crowded and overwhelming. However, this Airbnb was the epitome of what Ubud had to offer.

Things I loved about this place:

The Airbnb unit was well-integrated with nature, and the bathroom deserved a special mention. The caretaker was accommodating; he lifted two pieces of luggage and delivered our breakfast. The peacefulness and beauty of this place were healing and serene.

Heads up, though:

• No heater • Sounds of geckos throughout the night; expect tiny insects • It was about a 10-minute walk from the parking area (very steep, not senior-friendly), but the view was worth it

Endroit magnifique en pleine jungle dommage que le propriétaire se permette de rentrer quand il veut sans s’annoncer, qu’il soit insistant pour que l’on achète ses services. Le prix de base pour le gros scooter etait de 150.000 IDR mais au moment de payé il etait à 250.000 IDR cela fait une grosse difference quand même ! Nous avions reservé 2 chambres séparés avec une amie, il voulait lui faire payer 120.000 et moi 125.000 pour exactement le même scooter ? Et ne lui a pas fait payer le dernier, tellement d’incompréhension dans ses discours.. Nous avons eu un probleme avec la piscine qui s’est vidé 1jour avant notre depart, il devait faire le necessaire le temps qu’on etait de sortie, rien à été fait. Nous n’avons pas pu en profiter pour notre dernier jour, à cela s’est rajouté des problèmes avec la douche qui ne coulait plus enfin bref si vous voulez profiter de ce petit coin de paradis allez y mais ne vous laisser pas...

Great great great villa! Stayed 1 night and we had a beautifull location. Great for jungle lovers, and the animals that live in there.

The shower is not that great, could be beter. But the rest of the private swimmingpool area is topnotch.
