Pantai Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

I found the food very disappointing also the included breakfast. We ordered food, burgers. The meat was tough flavorless and boiled, seriously who boils burgers. None of the dishes come as described on the menu, there is always things missing. The fry up for example is listed to be with baked beans but comes without baked beans. The burger was supposed to come with mustards, mayonnaise, bacon, unions, lettuce and baked mushrooms yet it had no mushrooms or mustard and trace amount of mayonnaise. Tasteless dry and chewy, most likely they make the paddy from pieces of meat they cut away from other beef products. As the paddy was 80% connective tissue. The breakfast had croissants and other pastries like French toast. The French toast was cooked in salted butter and as you can expect tasted very bad. The other pastries weren't better at all as they were all made with bread dough. So basically bread in the shape of a croissant. Last but not least i joked with my wife what was more see trough the ocean water or my coffee. Save yourself the trouble and go outside to the little restaurants around the resort, you will only pay 10% of what you pay in this tourist trap and you will actually...

Disappointed with the service here.

Asked for current menu before arriving. Got sent an old menu with all incorrect dishes.

When we arrived we asked if everything is available. Staff said yes.

Ordered - 5 minutes later told that actually that dish is out of stock.

Food arrived. My specific dietary requests ignored. They rectified this with the burger but it was swiftly brought back to me cut into a couple of pieces.

Lastly the card machine did not have any connection which is a common issue there apparently (fair enough) to which the staff insisted we waited 10-15 minutes for someone to drive us somewhere else.

Overall a poor experience.

Pulled pork burger was average at best. And had one of those unnecessary and dry black charcoal buns.

If you close your eyes and think about what a Balinese restaurant looks like, pretty sure this place will come very close! In the middle of a nature reserve and the mangroves, the terrace over the sea and a wonderful sandy beach on the side. Food, drinks and certainly service outstanding. Super cosy and quiet, limited nr of tables. Couldn't draw or dream it better. A place to not miss when you're around. Best reserve as you need a shuttle to get there (no cars allowed). And if you have the time, take the apero at the Bali tower, amazing sunset view there over the lake and the nearby Java...
