This is by far the best restaurant you will find in the Munduk region, and perhaps the best Indonesian food you will find in all of Bali. We have been a frequent visitor of Ulekan in Berawa (Canggu/Seminyak), and this new venue serves the same awesome level of Indonesian food, but with an incredibly beautiful decor and view as a compliment. They have a free(!!) pickup and drop-off service - which is great given the winding mountain roads you need to take to reach the restaurant. Service is really good, warm Bali hospitality. We were with two young kids (age 2 and 1), and though at first glance this is not a kids place, staff was super accomodating to make them feel relaxed. And they have a real good kids menu as well. The food is just insanely good. It's Indonesian as you will find it at Warungs, but with the best ingredients and layered flavours. The menu has local delicacies like the black pig sausage, but also all-time favourites like satay, nasi goreng and rendang (try the eggplant version instead of beef for a change, mindblowing). Cocktails have a local twist and are a great start of the meal (the takes on Margherita and Moscow mule are great). Just a single improvement point: quite a few bottles of the wine menu were sold out.

All in all, this is a must visit when you're...

Honestly, can skip this place.

As a big foodie and someone who tries to find the best places in Bali, I truly don’t understand why this place has such high reviews. Though the staff are great, attentive and pleasant to have around, the food (especially considering the standards, pricing etc) is JUST okay. We tried many dishes (plates that were highly recommended) and were not impressed. Food was good but not great. Considering how amazing plates like Redang, Bebek Goreng, Urap Urap is in general, this place seemed to rid the plates of all flavors and spice for westerners (which I am one but I prefer spice which these dishes typically have).

Munduk has other great local options that I would choose over this place. I assume it has such great reviews because one of the most popular places to stay (Munduk Cabins) is...

A beautifully located new restaurant with a very cozy and stylish interior. I recommend coming here at sunset, as it creates an incredible atmosphere through the glass wall. Our biggest surprise, however, was the genuine Indonesian food, wonderful spices, very pronounced and authentic flavors. Something we've been looking for in Bali for a long time amidst a myriad of restaurants. The restaurant is in the Munduk Cabins resort, and if you're staying there, I really wouldn't recommend looking for anything else, as there isn't a better restaurant in the area, and it seems hard to find one as good on the entire island. If you’re looking for authentic Indonesian cuisine, beautifully served dishes, and good service, you must come here even if it’s...

We found out about this place online and was eager to try the food, it did not disappoint. Every single dish was full of flavour, perfectly presented and well balanced. We were greeted with a welcome drink and canape, the service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is in beautiful surroundings, nestled between lots of greenery and perfect for watching the sunset. Being a pastry chef, it's hard to choose between the desserts as they all sounded amazing. The banoffee pie was very rich and creamy but delicious, there are also lighter options to choose from such as fruit. Overall a very positive experience, would definitely revisit if in the area!

Our favorite spot in Munduk. We loved everything about it—the design, the peaceful atmosphere, and especially the food.👌 You can really taste the richness of local herbs and Balinese spices in every bite. We had the Soto Ayam and Urutan, and both were packed with flavor. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. Service was also excellent—friendly and attentive without being too much. Everything just flowed so nicely. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Munduk and looking for something that feels both special and truly local.💫

This is the best restaurant I found in Munduk and I highly recommended this venue. The menu is short but it would satisfy most palates with enough variety for 2 night stays. The food was delicious and the cocktail was good. Anyway, the drink menu has nice variety from traditional tonic to all sorts of cocktails. I didn’t expect such good quality food for being in the area but this place has it all figured out. The ambiance was warm, quiet, calm, and simple. Basically the menus are in the similar vibe as the restaurant. The service was friendly.
