Read moreFirst time going to this branch was not as bad a the second time. Food took way too long to come even though they have many staff working. My first time was with a friend, so I was distracted with our convo that we didn’t mind the food being too long to come, but the second time I was eating there alone. Ordered two glasses of water just for myself, they only gave one. This tells so much about the staff poor attention to details. The first time coming I didn’t have any problem with the water taste but the second time it taste like (this might sound weird) the smell of an old wardrobe— all I could think of was “is this tap water?” but even tap water shouldn’t have that taste nor smell. Anyway, food came and I finished it. Went home with stomach ache, my guess was the water. Someone’s babies were playing behind me and kept on touching my butt (by accident I think). It was the “lesehan” area and because of that I kept on moving my table forward little by little. The parent tried to tell the babies to not be too close to me but what can I say, they just wouldn’t listen. Anyway overall bad experience. The other branch I came to were just about the same when it comes to the time it takes for the food to come. My suggestion is if you’re really hungry or you’re with a big group or your date— don’t go there. You would want something nice and...
Read moreA Good Dining Spot, But Takeaway Needs Improvement
I recently visited SS Batubulan, and while the food was quite enjoyable, there was a noticeable difference in service speed between dining in and ordering takeaway. When eating in, the service was prompt, and the food arrived fresh and hot within a reasonable amount of time. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant—definitely a nice spot to sit down and enjoy a meal.
However, when I ordered for takeaway, the experience was quite different. Despite ordering the same dishes, the wait time for takeaway was significantly longer. What would take 15 minutes to be served at the table took over 30 minutes for a takeaway order, even during off-peak hours. This was a bit disappointing, as one would expect a quicker turnaround for takeaway, especially when not dining in.
While the quality of the food was still good, the longer waiting time for takeaway made the process less convenient than I’d hoped. I recommend dining in if you have the time; otherwise, be prepared for a longer wait if you’re ordering to-go.
Overall, a nice place for a sit-down meal, but the takeaway service could use some...
