One star for the service, hospitality, and place. I went for a takeaway, and I chose red velvet cake and mocha nougat Bailey cake. They put my cakes in small and low rise boxes, I was surprised! Luckily before I left, I checked the boxes and turned out the cake was not in a good shape and broken into half. Hearing my complaint, one of the service girl said that its a normal setup and if I wanted a taller box I should not expect to pay that low price. Mind you the cake cost IDR 40k and 45k each! She was unapologetic, and after I started taking photos, another girl asked her if she could change the box for me, and she did. She also gave me a new cake. Guess what, they did have better boxes, taller and bigger, they're just reluctant to give. Also you gotta ask for the eco friendly spoon, its not something given to all takeaways. Doh. If this is really a normal setup for takeaway, what a shame since the customers are getting cakes not in full shape. Either the staffs are lazy, underpaid, or both, this does not send a good message to customers. I'd agree with other reviews, service is just non existent. For the place, its just dirty. I see mold everywhere and not in my life will I ever lay my butt on the chairs. Hygiene level is questionable. I'll add one more star out of pity, but the cakes taste so so and there's nothing hype about it. My mocha nougat cake was too mocha creamy, and it left us bloated.. I'd rather go to Folie, better taste with same price in an air-conditioned and CLEAN cafe. And I won't have to put up with this nonsense attitude. My advise, skip this place and avoid the disappointment.

Hear from a friend about this place, "you need to go and give it a try" So I did. Came with a friend, I almost missed the place cause the sign was barely notice able if you are not familiar with the area. So Yamuna Pastries, open only on weekends. The cake shop is located in Bumbak, Canggu Area. When you enter the shop u are like entering someone house, it small but feels like so homey. In the showcase chiller displayed a lot options of sliced cake and they have also cinnamon rolls & donuts. I choose the russian chocolate cake (I hope I was right) and my friend tried the Es Teler. Yamuna offer wide selections of TWG Teas to accompanied the cake, for coffee lover you might be a bit disappointed. I tried their Earl Grey Tea to accompanied my cakes. The Chocolate cake comes with a shoot of baileys, for chocolate lover u need to go and tried the cake. It's layer with ganache and mud sponge, I also tried the Es Teler Cake the cake offer a taste of pandan, coconut, and jackfruit so it has all the component flavors of Es Teler (if u are wondering what is Es Teler, u can google it). Overall it taste good but probably kinda to sweet for me, well it's just a personal preference but All I can say is the concept of the cakes and the shop are good. Can wait to come for second visit to try the other cakes. Thank you for having us..

The actual rating is 2.5. If you’re looking for good pastry and cake, this is definitely the place to go, but unfortunately everything else falls apart besides the cakes. There were 2 different spaces in the bakery, with the one in the back being less aesthetically pleasing, more warm, and more cramped. When we came , there had been a huge party booking all the tables in the front, so we were relegated to the back. This felt like paying the same price for an inferior experience. When we first came, there’s only one staff doing everything, from welcoming to serving cakes to making drinks, making payments, answering questions, and moving table set ups. As you can expect, the whole thing is chaotic and unpleasant. There were no clear queue lines, so people can jump in and out without the staff noticing or keeping track who’s who. I felt like I was jumped off the line twice. I don’t know who’s wrong or who’s right, but the weird queue lines made me wait longer than I should have. Also, as the sun was coming down, the place in the back, especially the one near the glass doors, were becoming very very hot and too bright to be comfortable. The whole ambiance is actually very nice. I like the smell and the vibe of the place, maybe this is just not my lucky day.

I recently visited Yamuna Pastry, and it turned out to be quite a delightful experience! The plus points really make it a go-to spot for a variety of occasions. Firstly, the place is incredibly comfy, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. The reliable Wi-Fi and ample seating make it an excellent choice for remote work or catching up with friends.

What sets Yamuna Pastry apart is their unique range of home living and lifestyle products – a pleasant surprise in a pastry shop. It's a great place to find something interesting and distinctive.

Now, onto the stars of the show – their cakes! The flavors are nothing short of unique, and they taste just as good as they sound. The beverages are decent too, although not mind-blowing.

On the flip side, I have to admit that the hospitality could use some improvement. While most of the servers were friendly, there was one who wasn't as welcoming. It's possible it was just an off day, as I noticed her being pleasant with other customers.

One area where they could definitely step up their game is attention to detail. During my visit, I found an ant in my tea, which, while not a huge problem, is certainly something they should address to ensure a top-notch experience.

All in all, Yamuna Pastry is a cozy place with a lot of potential. With some tweaks in the service and a sharper eye for detail, it could easily become a top-tier spot in town. The unique cakes alone are reason enough to...
