Selaut Seafood Restoran — Restaurant in Balikpapan

I visited this place with a friend on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

I ordered three dishes :

Soft-Shell Crab with Salted Egg Sauce Fried Chicken with Laotian Sauce Sweet and Sour Fried Squid

Pros : The food was absolutely delicious—finger-lickin' good ! My friend and I enjoyed every bite. You can personally pick from a variety of fresh fish displayed in the restaurant's front area. There are also package menus available if you come with a larger group. I was especially pleased to be helped by a staff member named "Abang Tyo". The staff here deserves praise for their friendliness, they greet each customer warmly and are genuinely pleasant without any stiffness. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated with a charming interior. We also appreciated the spacious, semi-outdoor seating arrangement and were relieved to find a designated smoking area. Additionally, Selaut offers a large parking lot that can accommodate around 20-25 cars. For anyone planning to visit, I’d recommend booking a reservation ahead of time, as it could be difficult to get a table if you arrive without one.

Recently visited this restaurant, was impressed by the cozy athmosphere and spacious parking area. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Makan malam bersama keluarga besar yang sangat MENGECEWAKAN, SUDAH RESERVASI untuk 20 orang di jam 7 makanan datang gak tepat waktu, pas kita tanya ke managernya, bukannya minta maaf malah nyalahin balik si manager nya sambil cengengesan. Kita emang gak tepat waktu datang nya tapi setidaknya makanan bisa di taro di meja di plastikin kaya resto seafood lainnya. Kita udh tanya dengan sangat amat baik baik ke managernya malah di sautin di jawab jawabin sama managernya dan nyalahin kita datang telat??.

Yang paling keliatan PEGAWAI RESTO ini gak bener adalah MAKANAN GAK DATENG DATENG MALAH NYALAHIN KITA DATENG TELAT PADAHAL UDAH RESERVASI, BUAT APA RESERVASI KALO MAKANANNYA JUGA GADATENG. KITA SEMUA UDAH CUCI TANGAN BARU PADA DATENG MAKANANNYA (ITUPUN SETELAH KITA BILANG CANCEL AJA KALO GA DATENG GAPAPA KOK).

Duh kalo yang untuk dine in disini siapin ya mental kalian, karna pengalaman saya disini ZERO HOSPITALITY pegawai restonya, JANGAN HARAP PELAYANAN YANG BAIK, NANYA MAKANAN AJA MALAH DISALAHIN BALIK.
