Black Ross — Restaurant in Banda Aceh

This is my first time coming to this cafe, but I already had a bad experience with the waitstaff. My friend and I were requesting reservations since we were about to go to the shopping center on another floor. The waiter seemed to understand the request well in front of us, but suddenly another waitress came to our table and asked us, "You guys came here only to take pictures, right?" She said it with a sarcastic facial expression. We were so surprised since we never said anything like that to them. We came to the cafe to enjoy the live music and the meals, but they ruined our mood from the moment we arrived. The second waiter did apologize, but the first waiter who spread the false information didn’t even bother to apologize. There is much room for improvement. Instead of asking such a question, she should have taken our order first and proceeded with it without hurting people’s pride.

Regarding the food, I’m not going to complain about the small portion since the price is quite cheap here. However, the taste is another matter. I ordered fries, and they were so salty that I couldn't even eat them. On a positive note, the avocado coffee is delicious and quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the orange juice was disappointing; it tasted more like syrup than fresh juice. I believe there is significant room for improvement in the kitchen. Addressing these issues would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

For the live music, I’d give them a chef's kiss. The performance was outstanding, and the musicians were incredibly talented. The live music significantly enhanced the ambiance of the cafe, making it a memorable experience. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the live music and would come back...

Located in the heart of Pasar Aceh, this restaurant is not a really bad option for millennials or family to hang out while in Banda Aceh. However, I personally don’t like it here very much because it’s noisy especially at night. The services from the staff also take so long. I’ve been to this place twice and they took me quite some times to get served. I understand that the testo was quite busy, but it would be better if the resto puts some staff to welcome the costumers and make sure they have a good services, including finding the comfortable seat, and having the menu ready. In terms of the food, I like the avocado vanilla ice cream. The avocado smoothies were really tasty. However, I also tried another dish named mozarella nugget (if I’m not mistaken) and it was awful. It literally was just the flour-nugget-shaped filled with a slice of hard, thick mozarella that at the time I didn’t even believe myself it was the mozarella. The nasi goreng and the spring rolls were quite good tho. Well, for you who are curious about the place, you can try one time...

Honest review, good place and environment. Nice Mesjid raya view from the rooftop. However, the service was very slow. Nearly one hour, some of the order still wasnt complete. The cashier asked me to pay full price for the order even when i wanted to disregard the incomplete order as we are going home. She says we can pack it for you to bring home and i said no as my uncle already shared the other meal...
