I came here today (jan 21st 2017) to have dinner with large group of friends and their children, over 20 people. We came around 6.15pm and made our orders. Later we were told that pizza will take long time to serve, around one hour, despite there were only few guests other than us. So those who ordered pizzas changed them into pasta/spaghetti.
The waiters brought our orders sporadically with long period of waiting. We had to complain several times but still the last order arrived after more than 1.5hr. The serving size of all pasta is also embarrassing.. very small in gigantic plate. The baked pasta is still a bit better than non-baked pasta because of extra melted cheese. I'm not a frequent patron here but i remember the serving size is used to be good and worth the price. Many of us were still left hungry.
To make matter worse, the owner of the restaurant came up and told one of my friends and suggested us to leave as we've been there long enough already, they needed the table. He acted like a thug though, requested in hush and defensive tone that none uf us should complain and scold his employees. He made no apology for the long wait and our children were starving because of that. And in fact we think we made just normal complains to the waiters as other people would do in our situation. We still asked repetitively with no screaming or loud voice. It took quite a while for me to digest that he is actually the owner. You can spot him as a musician playing guitar and singing at the stage, old man with long grey hair. My jaw dropped.
We of course left immediately and vow never to set foot again at...
Read moreIt used to be best pizza place in Bandung when it was near Cihampelas but now the quality drop so much, we were so disappointed when we went there yesterday . They said today they didn't bake pizza, which is strange, because it's what they are famous for. The delicious lasagna that used to be our favorite, now is gone too. They change the style from a perfectly baked layered lasagna which rich cheese taste to a plain and thin layer of lasagna, filled with mediocre bolognese meat sauce, and small amount of cheese, and underbaked. When we asked the waitress to bake it more, she took it without saying anything and when she's back, we said thank you but she looked unhappy and just left without even said you're welcome. Why so impolite? The aglio alio, garlic bread are so plain, we can even cook better one at home. Bandrek came without coconut shredded, which is unauthentic. The only nice one that we ordered is the fried mushroom. The place is actually very nice, outdoor setting overlooking Dago is a nice place to chill out and enjoy your meal. Just if they can improve the quality just like it used to be, it will be a perfect place to enjoy...
Read morecame in at two with a gloomy sky. had one of the worst italian pizza, in fact, i never let any pizza unfinished unless i cant stuffed in more into my belly. weird dough, it just doesnt fill good. hardly tasted any trail of tomato and surprisingly, the onion didnt harmonized with the pizza. could taste a slight trail of blackpepper in the fungi pizza. there is another pizza i ordered with ham and it also taste worse. 5/10 for fungi pizza, 4/10 for the ham pizza (forgot its name).
mushroom bruschetta had the worst bread, though the mushroom is quite standard but ruined by its bread.
the only good food here is their spaghetti carbonara. delicate and not cream, cmiiw, but it seems like they used the egg yolk like italian folks do, instead of cream. 8/10
however, i will overlook all those transgressions on pizza for its marvellous view.
nice, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, fresh cool air, good interior, nice jazz music (Buble), and have i said it? absolutely stunning view!!
would come back for its view and pasta if i ever have the chance again. what...
