Mister & Misses Cakes — Restaurant in Bogor

This is only an honest review, not a fake one or paid. I hope there's an improvement if I go back to this place.

Eaten on 3 May 2025, Total bill 265k (after tax and service charge) for 4 slices of cake and 4 coffees. Ambience: 3.5/5 The room was a bit hot, even though the outside was cloudy. Maybe the worker forgot to adjust the room temp, or the AC had a problem. idk. And also, it's kinda disappointing that the lighting is way too dark, even when the lamp is on. It has the potential if the lighting were brighter, cuz the store is already aesthetic enough and could make us memorise it with our camera

Food: Strawberry Shortcake Slices (this is a must, not joking at all) 5/5 There is no overly sweet or synthetic taste from the strawberry jam; it is a must-try! A bit of tartness from fresh strawberries and milky on the cream. 10/10

Carrot Cake (must try to feel a new experience) 5/5 It tastes so herbal (maybe cinnamon?) but in a good way, not overly sweet; many chunks of carrots make its texture so unique. It's so rare to find this kind of slice, especially for those who add walnuts (umami and kinda very milky nuts) to their cake. Suit for every old citizen, tastes kinda nostalgic. If u hate herb tastes kinda cake, then avoid this.

Le Favourite Ussy 5/5 (great chocolate cake) Everything is balanced, sweetness and bitterness from the chocolate and milkiness of the choco-cream. The only prob is the size of the slice, which is kinda small.

Caramello 3.5/5 Maybe this is personal, but the taste it's kinda a basic cake. Looks good in the picture, but nothing's memorable, caramel and not so milky cream on the top. The textures are great, but the taste is not so much.

Coffee (all of them) 2.5/5 (Palm Sugar, Ice Latte, Ice Americano) Cool on the picture, not so great on the taste. Nothing personal, I've tasted them all. 3 of my friends didn't even finish it, that's how it tastes. Way too watery, too bitter, not in a good way, couldn't taste the sweetness, not so milky that I would hope for that latte or palm sugar. And I am the only one who finished it* because I hate waste. Would rather make my Instant Kopi Liong (iykwim)

Conclusion: There are many great cakes, but not so great coffee. I also hope u could change the coffee to other drinks on the free coffee on every cake policy, cuz that's how bad the coffee is. I hope there's an improvement when I go back to this place. Great for special occasion cakes, but not for regular customers (like every day). Also, the main course is kinda expensive because they sell an organic/vegetarian/vegan idk *whatever...

I love their cakes, the flavour for all of them were rich! The cake is moist and spongy. They use a premium quality of fruits, butter, and chocolate so it make the cake awesome and tastefull. The pastries were awesome as well, really well home-made bakery!

You may buy slices or a whole for the cake, although it will be more pricey if buy by slices but you can taste different cake, so it will be worth it especially if you are a cake lover! The range of cake by slices is between 40k to 65k. Thumbs up for their black forest, it was great, premium quality! I also love their strawberry shortcake, sweet and sour in a perfect balance! To accompany your cake or pastry, they also have several kinds of coffee and tea starting from 29k.

Not only cake, mister and misses cake also provide bread, muffin, ciabatta, brownies, baguette, tart, scones, and many more including pasta and duck confit.

The best place to get classic, rustic breads in Bogor. If you live in Bogor and crave classic and healthy bread this is your place. My favorite breads are Bordelaise and their tomato ciabatta. Excellent taste and chewiness. This is also a place to get proper bagel and pretzel ( starting from only 10k per piece!). Each visit I would always try different pies and cakes since they have quite a lot of choices.
