Duke and Duchess — Restaurant in Bogor

Duke and duchess just open by the end of February 2022 and held their soft opening for two weeks. They offered a fine-dining restaurant (full-service restaurant with specific dedicated meal courses). The ambience and decoration are european style and you can see the features of higher-quality materials they used for the tables, sofas, chairs, and even the utensils (white for the plates and gold for the spoon, fork, and knife).

Most of the meals are western with a bit of asian cuisine for the main course. Eventhough they have varieties of drinks such as mocktails, coffee, teas, and juices, but they don't serve alcohol for all of their mocktails. Since it's a fine-dining resto, you can expect the price to dine in here is a bit above average, quite pricey. The price for meals start from 40k to 300k. While the beverages, the price is between 20k to 38k.

Their caesar salad (55k) is not vary for the leaves, they only use romaine lettuce. The dressing was okay but a bit too sour for me though also I do prefer more than one kind of leaf in my salad. The chuck tender sambal ijo (90k) was delicious with good portion for the chuck tender. For the roasted chicken with bumbu kuning (80k) unfortunately the chicken was dry and the bumbu kuning was salty not worth the price, too bad. The fish and chips (80k) was okay, could've been better for the dip. I personally like their camden junction (40k), a nice combination between creme de cacao, banana, and hazelnut syrup, really...

Came for mother’s day dinner coz they offered discount for ladies with min purchase 350k & IG post I ordered pollo carbonara, tea, and 280k beef wellington. Carbonara and tea were good with reasonable price. Had to wait 40mins for the welington, and it didnt meet our expectation. The meat was overcooked and hard, I could barely chew the meat. But whats more disappointing is that when we paid at the cashier, turned out the discount was not applicable for steak purchase. The thing is I have asked 3x (2 waiters and through WA admin) on the T&C of the discount, none of them mentioned it was unavailable for steak. If I knew it since the beginning, we wouldnt order wellington and would go for salmon instead. not to mention the wellington was not worth the wait, expectation, and money. The T&C was unclear, definitely it was not our fault because we had asked 3 times. It felt like they were using upselling technique on us to get us to purchase more expensive items. I complained and the crew had talked to the manager about it but still no. Definitely they dont care about the customer although it’s clearly their fault. What an awful customer handling. We had quite okay experience at the beginning, but it all crumbled at the end. We leave the restaurant feeling disappointed and regretful.. definitely one of the worst experience I had...

Place (5/5) ☆☆☆☆☆ New restaurant located in Bogor. Really like the place and the ambience even though the place isn't so big, but the concept of the restaurant is different from the others in Bogor because it's so elegant. Great place to have a romantic date or even celebrate special occasion with family or friends. And the praying room is very clean and comfortable.

Services (5/5) ☆☆☆☆☆ I can say that this restaurant has one of the greatest service so far. The servants are really friendly and helpful. They even greet us when we came and when we left the place.

Tastes (3.5/5) ☆☆☆ I ordered some dishes and beverages. Most of them taste just so so and I can't say the food is special. But if I could recommend, I would recommend to try the Chuck Tender Au Jus and Kensington Garden.

Price (4/5) ☆☆☆☆ I could say that the price here isn't cheap, but I think the price worth the place, but not for the food.
