Recommended by my local friends, they said Resto Gunung Sari has the best gurame (carp) dishes. That's why they brought me for an early lunch here 😁

We definitely tried their gurame dishes, such as Gurame Goreng (Fried Carp) and Gurame Bakar Kecap Manis (Grilled Carp with Sweet Sauce). It can be served as a whole fish or half a fish. The nostalgic old feel of the restaurant took me back to my childhood.
In all honesty I try to stray away from cooked fish, as I found them to be fishy. So I was apprehensive at first..
But all of those thoughts goes away as soon as the dishes came, the fishes weren't smelly instead smells of great aroma 🤤 and the flavors were spot on.
Grilled chicken too was a first to have on this version, I was told it's 'Wonogiri' style.
All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant for those who loves Gurame and Grilled chicken 🐔
