Soo Ra Yeon Cilegon — Restaurant in Cilegon

Me and my friends stopped by here from Anyer on the way home to Jakarta. We decided we want to visit Cilegon and see what restaurant we can visit for lunch. Soo Ra Yeon came up, we book it and have a late lunch there. The food is amazing! It is the most authentic Korean cuisine I've tasted outside Korea. The banchan is variative, we ordered Samgyetang (sorry for spelling), dolsot bibimbap, pajeon, and fried chicken. The manager even gave us a free Tteokbokki. All dishes tasted amazing and I almost forget to mention the fresh kimchi that they made inhouse.. it was SO GOOD! So if you ever in the Cilegon city, do stop by here. Kimchi is over fermented, Sundubu and Bi bim bap is too plain and the seafood inside is really hard to find. Its like looking for treasure 🥲 The dishes we tried here were all too over priced for a portion as this and with mediocre flavor.

When I got into the resto, the waitresses were sleeping on the sofa with all the lights off. The resto looked very messy with many sacs of rice in front of the entrance. I needed to ask the waitress if it was open open or not bc they were sleeping. The waitress didn't know the condiments inside the dishes they sell.

Probably the best Korean restaurant in the whole Cilegon. The quality reflect on the price tho, it was undoubtedly quite expensive. The menu was written in hangul and English so it's easy to understand. The staffs here were kind and pretty helpful. Now onto the foods, I've eaten here once and had takeaways a few times (pandemic). The pork belly was tender and juicy, the sauce they provided was flavorful but not too thick. The veggies they provided were all fresh. My friend loves the kimchi soup here, saying it's the best in Cilegon. Will come back for sure. Keep up...
