We recently had lunch at Plataran Puncak Venue & Dining and overall, it was a pleasant experience. My wife and I touring from TangSel, came around 1 PM and tried some of their signature dishesâAyam Bakar Poetojo, Iga Panglima, Tofu Bokchoy, and the Apple Cinnamon Pancake for dessert. For drinks, we had the Hawa Pangrango, which was refreshing.
The food was flavorful and nicely presented, though there were a few things that couldâve made the experience smoother. It took quite a while for the dishes to arrive at our table, and there were long gaps between each oneâabout 20 minutes apartâwhich made some of the food cold by the time we started eating. It wouldâve been great if all the dishes could arrive closer together so we could enjoy them warm. Initially we ordered the dendeng batokok, but then after 5 Minutes, waiter told us it not available since not drying yet and took 1 day for it. Better take out from today's menu, I suggest.
The ambiance of the indoor dining area is beautiful but felt a bit dark, especially since it was a cloudy afternoon. Some extra lighting would definitely help during overcast weather. Another small detail, it would be great to put some perfume in Musholla or sprayed on sajadah to make it more comfortable.
One thing that surprised us was that when all the dishes were finally served, our table still didnât have any cutleries, so we had to wait a bit longer to get those. Also, the Ayam Bakar Poetojo was a bit tougher than what Iâve had at Plataran Bandung.
Despite these small hiccups, the hospitality really stood out. Every staff memberâfrom the security, greeters, waiters to housekeepingâwas incredibly warm and friendly. They greeted us with genuine smiles and respectful hand gestures, reflecting true Indonesian hospitality.
A small suggestion: it would be helpful to have a waiter stationed nearby or at a service station to assist more promptly. When we wanted to order the pancakes and request cutleries, it was hard to find someone as all the staff seemed busy.
All in all, it was a memorable lunch and we really appreciated the heartwarming service. Looking forward to coming back and hoping for an even better...

A luxurious and unique addition to Puncak Bogor, Plataran Puncak Venue & Dining offers an extraordinary dining experience with breathtaking views. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with an impressive collection of antique cars, including a Ford 500, CitroĂŤn, and even Harley Davidson motorcycles, which are a feast for the eyes.
The warm and friendly service complements the stunning ambiance, with a unique riverside and cliff view that hints at the hotel development plans in progressâwishing the best for its completion!
The vibe here is unmatched in Puncak. We initially ordered "Kopi Engkong," but it wasnât available, and neither was the "Kopi Semprong." Hopefully, these can be included consistently in the future. Despite this, the alternative menu we chose was delightful.
Facilities are top-notch: clean and fragrant restrooms, a well-maintained prayer room (mushola), and a charming kids' corner that ensures children have a great time without relying on gadgets. Donât forget to bring warm clothing as the weather here is chilly and can change quickly.
This spot is perfect for a leisurely visit, especially if you're waiting for the traffic to ease in Puncak. Whether the route is one-way or two-way (albeit crowded), timing is crucialâespecially during peak seasons like the upcoming New Yearâs Eve 2025.
We can't wait to return and explore more of the Instagram-worthy photo spots and savor their signature dishes. Thank you, Plataran, for enriching the Puncak experience with your warm presence amidst the cool...
Read moreOur first iftar of the year was completely ruined by the abysmal and disorganized service at Plataran Puncak. Despite reserving in advance, ordering ahead, and receiving verbal confirmation that our food would be served five minutes before iftar, the reality was a disaster.
We requested our Ice menu to be served first to break our fast, yet it was brought out lastâdespite following up three times. The first dish arrived more than 30 minutes after iftar, and even then, the red rice that was supposed to accompany it came another 10 minutes later.
When we tried to get takjil, the staffâs poor organization led to a long wait, and by the time it was our turn, they had run out of cutlery, plates, and food. To make matters worse, after reminding them twice about our red rice, they brought white rice instead, wasting even more time.
The staff had no clue what we ordered in advance. A waitress even asked if our food had all been served, showing they didnât bother checking our online order. Waiters kept bringing food we never ordered, and some even tried serving dishes that were already on our table, only to take them back awkwardly.
As a final disappointment, when we were leaving, the security officer was too busy chatting with staff to assist us, delaying our exit.
At Plataran Puncak, you donât just pay with moneyâyou pay with your time and patience. For the prices they charge, this level of incompetence is unacceptable. Avoid this place unless you want to ruin a...
