A Disappointing Experience at Ming
Yesterday, I dined at Ming at 5 PM. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the staff, but it felt excessive and unnatural. It seemed like every staff member had to greet each guest multiple times, which made me uncomfortable.
Initially, I sat at table number 5 near the TV screen, but since there was no nice view, I moved to table number 6, which felt much better. That day, I was feeling extremely tired, and my husband even suggested going to another restaurant to lift my mood. However, I insisted on going to Ming because I wanted to try their gado-gado.
The waiter who served us, Rasya, seemed unfocused and preoccupied. While we were eating, he was busy wiping tables around us instead of paying attention to the guests. This made me wonder—does the restaurant not clean the tables before opening? Usually, when I visit at noon, everything is fine, and the waiters are friendly, but this time felt different.
Moreover, Rasya seemed unprepared when taking our order. He forgot and missed some items, even after repeating them. When the food arrived, it was cold, the portion was different from what I had ordered before, and the taste was bland. The staff seemed busy, the orange juice wasn’t sweet, and the gado-gado lacked seasoning. To make things worse, the fries were bitter, and there was a fly on the table. It was disappointing, but I tried not to overthink it.
However, things got worse when, around 5:45 PM, Rasya told us that table 6 was reserved, so we had to move. This was frustrating because I had been sitting there first, had just finished my meal, and was still enjoying my time. I was already exhausted and just wanted to eat peacefully, so I didn’t understand why I had to move. If the reservation was for 7 PM, why not place the reserved guests at another empty table, like table 7 or 8? I think there was a lack of cooperation between the front and back staff.
Reluctantly, I moved back to table 5, but it was dirty, with cigarette ashes on the table, and the waiter didn’t even notice. He simply helped move our food, set up table 6 and 7, and then left—like it was no big deal. It felt like they weren’t paying attention to basic service standards.
By 6 PM, mosquitoes started appearing, but there was no mosquito repellent provided. At this point, I was already feeling exhausted and disappointed.
I wanted to leave because I had lost my appetite, but my husband tried to calm me down. Even though I just wanted to go, he was patient and understanding, trying to make me feel better.
To make things worse, the guests who had reserved table 6 didn’t arrive until after 8 PM. They weren’t VIPs or special guests, just regular people, which made me feel discriminated against. There was also no reservation sign on table 6 when I first sat there, which made the whole situation feel unfair.
This visit left a really bad impression, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning to Ming. The service, food, and overall experience are no longer what...
Read moreI came here for the second time with friends, last year I came it was very funtastic, but a view days ago, it was terrible services that we received from the waiter or waitress. The food it took so long and no spoon or fork at all. We need to wait until the staff coming and bring us spoon, a view minutes later my friends food ready and again no spoon provided. We are so tired every dishes coming and no cutrls. And asking the same thing for 5 times. Its so annoyed for us. They had a live music on that time however the girl voices with a short hair was very bad. I orderred a capcay and there is a small "ulat" In their capcay. I know that the vegetables is fresh but where is their consistency to double check everything before it goes to the customer. They had 1 big fan and it was blocked by just 1 families, its really hot and the waitress just passed us and dont see the fan position.
I hope the management could take an action for keep the existences...
Read moreI used to be a regular customer, but last week I ordered the special fried rice, and it tasted bland, like rice you would find on the side of the road. I asked for it to be recooked, and after a long wait, it finally tasted good. However, when I visited today, I was once again disappointed. The chicken teriyaki rice bowl lacked seasoning and the portion was smaller than before, making it unappealing. The basic fries tasted stale, like they were fried in old oil. The crispy mushrooms were overly salty and seemed to have been cooked in old oil as well. And also order chicken wings after we pay to cashier we asked to cancel as my food never come, the staff quite polite to apologize and asked to take away out chicken as a free of charge. But thank you we already full after all.Despite this place being my favorite in the past, I must say I am truly disappointed with the recent...
