Bali Bakery — Restaurant in Denpasar Timur

They have a wide variety of desserts to pick from croissants to whole cakes. We got their brownie, cheesecake, and chocolate croissant. All of them tasted average and there was nothing special in my opinion. They have a great atmosphere to eat in but their service was trash. There were not much people eating the moment I was there but there were two foreigners eating a few tables from me. At the beginning everything was fine, but both of our tables wanted to pay and leave almost at the same time. We both wanted to pay with card and they brought the device to the foreigner’s table for them to tap their card and pay but when I told the same waitress that we wanted to pay using card she told us to just go to the cashier. So the foreigners can pay at their table and get better service while we had to go to the cashier to pay?? I asked the waiter why we were treated differently and they immediately brought the device to my table too. Still… different level of service for Indonesians and foreigners?? Will never...

First time dining at this place. Ordered chef’s specialty, but the staff that served me said it was new dish on the menu. So I ask for recommended menu and offered another dish, which ended up very so so in taste quality. Which has me wondering, why recommend me another dish instead of chef’s specialty that I ordered first, which usually supposed to be recommended dish on the menu, if the dish she recommend ended up with such quality of taste? Which is very stupid to be honest. If the recommendation dish from the staff is such low quality in taste, how is the quality of another dish that is not the best seller ones? As you can see I didn’t finish it, since it was really THAT BAD. Complained about this, and was given a scoff as response. Such a quality of service! Fortunately the cake was good, and ambiance was ok. So 2 star out of 5, makes it not a total fail. Although with that quality of service, make me don’t want to ever go...

The bread, cookies and food of Bali Bakery are the best I’ve been having and handy to get. My family and originally have been going to Kuta branch and no complaints at all. It was just two stars missing for this branch because I went the branch in Hayam Wuruk this morning and got a bit dissapointed with their service. I went in, asked for their collection for christmas cookies, the man behind the bread shelf (young and tall) was about to serve me. Then a lady came in behind me, and asked something to him. Suddenly I was just left behind and he’s serving the lady instead. I even didn’t get the chance to get the answer of my question, he just left and serve the lady. I complained, he came back to me, no apology. Just flat face as being forced. Not very good attitude, I presume. Got my cookies, and I left with grumpy mood.
