I ordered a platter with mixed crispy pork and ribs, and it was a very satisfying experience. The highlight for me was the sambals. Each variety had its own distinct flavor, and every one of them was outstanding.
The crispy pork is where this place really shines. The skin is beautifully crisp, and the chili and salty version (Cabe Garam) stood out as the best, with the smoked crispy pork coming close behind. The ribs were decent, though a little dry and not as flavorful as I prefer, but the overall meal still impressed me.
The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and attentive. What I especially like is that this spot feels more like a local favorite than a typical tourist stop. The crowd is mostly local diners, which makes the atmosphere more genuine and relaxed.
It sits right next to another well-known BBQ place, which might draw away some foot traffic. In my view, that is a bit unfortunate, because Raf Babi Krispi deserves more recognition. If you are looking for flavorful sambals, crispy pork done right, and an authentic dining experience, this is a place...
Read moreWhile this was not our option for lunch (a few nearby places that we wanted to try was closed or sold out), there was no regrets. Our initial intention was to try Babi Guling, but eventually settled for this Babi Krispi instead (both are pork but Babi Guling refers to roasted suckling pig while Babi Krispi is a pork dish similar to the Cantonese roasted pork, but more crispy).
For a table of 6, we ordered the Pork Platter 1 which consisted of 3 types of crispy pork of 250g each. Each type of crispy pork is served with a type of sauce, and the sauces well complimented the pork variants.
We also ordered the Tumis Daun Singkong (stir-fried cassava leaves) and Bakso Iga Babi (Pork balls soup) for sharing. Apart from plain rice to go along with the dishes, we ordered one Nasi Ayam Goreng to have a taste of the fried chicken.
The food is delicious, especially one of the crispy pork variants. Definitely a must try pork dish place if you are...
Read moreInitially was planning to go to Warung Biyanglala but since its closed, i thought i will try Raf babi krispi. A spacious place, and though it looked rather empty, i thought you cant go wrong with Pork in Bali.
Sadly, i was very wrong. First and last time, i ordered the special rice which included the soup. The pork was ok, its a bit bland (i ordered the original version to test it out), crunchy and decent amount of fats, but the soup was bland. Its like drinking water, a bit of spices - just disappointing. The sambal matah was neither spicy or tasty, the veg was not bad. I also ordered the chicken/ prawn bakwan - it wasnt bad, but not enough to want to...
