Hidden gem in the middle of denpasar city.

I woke up one morning to a message from my friend, "lets go to two fat monks" i thought to my self, what a quirky name for a restaurant. And so without much expectation i finally went and meet them on the spot. First thing that i notice was the architecture, thinking to myself."Damn must have been expensive". I went inside and sat. Friendly waitress gave us the menu, then i went "man this is cheap for the class". We finally get our food, it was good. Worth more than how they price it.

One thing always cross my mind, do they even make a profit? But i guess its not my business. So i do what i can. Sat here wrote a five star review on a google my business and add my embarasingly amateur photos. Hope it put a smile on...

Another one we had wanted to try for a long time. Service was really slow, short of staff, there's manager, but I don't even know what he was doing the whole time, no one watching or attentive. Had to literally call out to get someone to come over. One of our meals was the dish that is eaten regularly and really surprised that we have to wait for one hour for NASI GORENG. When we complained to the manager, the manager told us to just cancel the order. What?!?!?! I was like.... I'm not asking for free food here, I was PAYING, you made me wait for one hour for my food, and then when we complained, you told us to cancel instead. Is this the best you can do? This place is our family's favourite restaurant. It has parking lots that can fit 10 or 11 cars plus parking spaces for motorbikes.

We've been coming here every fortnight (2 weeks) for 6 or 7 years now, usually for dinner. We love almost everything in the Menu but our favourite dishes are laksa, beef noodles pho, pad thai, thai chicken basil and chicken kung pao. They are all yummy! We never had problems with their food nor their service. We have always found their service were very good. Waiters were polite and helpful. Our order (4 dishes) came out quick (less than 15 minutes) every time!

Prices are reasonable, 4 of us spent between 350K and 400K for meals and drinks....
