Chingu Cafe — Restaurant in Depok

A place suitable for all k-popers out there. Not just k-popers tough, if you love korea food or like korea culture, this is the place. But there is a waiting list though, don't worry the queue move pretty fast. The most recommend one are the menu for group like korean chicken barbeque with melted cheese, its prices 59k without teoppokki and 89k with teopokki, with 6 chicken you got to choose the flavor as you like, and there is french fries on the side. I dont recommend the spicy one, it doesn't taste spicy at all, it kinda have those sour taste like the one in kimchi. I tried hotteok, it doesn't suit my tounge though, there's that fermented taste like what we would find on indonesian food 'tape'. We went on the soft opening day itself, quite long queue as we came on lunch time. Despite the fullness of the place, they served food quite quick also they managed the queue well, I can say their crew are proffesional.

About the food, we ordered rabokki, japchae, bulgogi beef, and kimchi jjigae beef. The first 3 meal, I chose it as it should’t go wrong in my opinion and yeah it was ok, cannot say so much delicious. The 4th meal personally I found it bit salty, so it’s no ok taste. Price wise It’s affordable even for student average and above. The portion bit small for the first 3 menus above.

They have very instagrammable place literally so you can find many teenage girls taking pics here and there. They have aircond room but it wasn’t open for public when I was there. For parent with young kids, baby chair are available. Paying with card re not...

Cozy place to hang out with friends/family, the place is quite spacious and decorated with korean wannbe banner&photos. First problem is the menu ordering, u have to ask the waiters to scan ur QR order. Second is the food taste, they need to improve a lot, I don't know whether it's because they focus too much on the atmosphere, but seriously they need to do better with the quality of the food they use and make, really unimpressed with the kimchi here, it isn't that hard to make ur own kimchi.
