Banyuwangi International Yacht Club — Restaurant in East Java

I come here quite often but after some reworks everything became terrible, Booked a table 3 days prior, when we arrived our table was already being occupied, when we came to ordering the food we requested for all of the dishes to come at around basically the same time, whether we had to wait longer or not was completely fine. but they didn't understand because the staff couldn't speak English, so food arrived some people ate some people had to wait for over 15+ minutes. for a restaurant to be called "international" please get staff that can speak English. we got a apology ice cream, while we was JUST About to eat our food, its very silly to give us ice cream when eating our food, without the regards of the ice cream melting. when it came to the food the fish n chips was disappointing. the skin was chewy and the tartar sauce was spicy??, wasn't even able to ask us whether we wanted spicy or not. also why tip over the plates when we have to tip it back up to use them?? very silly, the rest of the food was basic, the view is nice when it came to asking for the manager for the complaint they didn't know what to do, rather they just talked with each other trying to find a manager, they got some random guy to be the supposed "manager" when this guy was sitting on the bar so much for waiting 10mins for a manager. SUPER DISSAPOINTED DO NOT COME HERE. very expensive for the treatment...

I went there with wife and kids for our last dinner in Banyuwangi, the place is greatly positioned in the marina, and the views are great. The teas that we ordered is as good as tea can be.

The night was quite empty, maybe only 5 tables were served.

Laksa and carbonara pasta were good.

However, my wife ordered gado-gado, tasted like salad, my kid told me its just like spicy letuce.

My oldest ordered fried rice. We waited for 45-50 minutes since we asked. And reminded our waiter to please be hurry, Finished other 3 menu we ordered, and looked at my kid face, patiently waiting for the nevercome fried rice.

We decided to pay and the cashier would like us to wait, "again" to check if the fried rice is ready. We cancelled it anyway.

The food served not at the same time, but like 5-10minutes between dish. The fried rice took forever, and eventually never came.

So in recap, good place, but dont bother order indonesian dish if...

We loved going to the yacht club though we’re not usually yacht club people. The staff was wonderful - we felt so welcomed. The mostly live music Wednesday through the weekend was all really good. The MC tonight was so fun and worked well with so many different people and made it a very fun evening. Many Western song covers. The food scratches the desire for food from home well. There are some creative substitutions for sure, but overall, great. The drinks were fantastic - cocktails and mocktails, lassis and more. Their homemade limoncello is wonderful. The view and breeze were dreamy. Waitstaff named Salsa was so so great. She took care of us and made us feel at home. Upstairs they have a pool table, darts and more available for free.
