Hotel Blambangan — Hotel in Kelurahan Kepatihan

The hotel is located at the city center in front of blambangan park where people gather around all day long. You can have plenty of food options across the hotel during the evening, atm is next to the hotel, many places to visit on a 10-15minutes walking, they serve pizza restaurant inside the hotel, hence location is fantastic. The hotel is clean, quite spacious room for the price, comfortable bed and bathroom. The staff are nice and helpful a lot. They also have a rather nice pool too.

Unfortunately you can hear a morning prayer calling (adzan) from nearby mosques (around 2 or 3 mosques) that is rather annoying on 3-4 AM. If you like middle east singing then it won't be a problem, but if you feel irritated with the early voice, make sure you request a proper room.

In summary, this is a highly recommended hotel to stay...

Strategic location, near a public space, Blambangan Park. Not a crowded public space, so it's not so noisy. Check in exactly at 2 pm. No elevator, but no worries, they help us bringing our luggage to 2nd floor. Interesting architecture, like classic Javanese. Swimming pool is not too large but clean & nice. Clean & comfort room. Not so spacious, but good enough for me. Room key is "manual", not using the card key & self lock type. So, always remind yourself to lock the room. They have view units (less than 40 rooms, if I'm not wrong). Really good if you want to avoid crowd situation during your stay. No coffee maker available in the room. Stayed for a night at a Superior Double Room before our hike to Ijen. Lovely staff who are happy to help, even prior to check in (through phone calls). Breakfast is ordered upon check in and is not buffet style but is included in the room price. There’s a small pool behind the lobby area where you can eat as well. We ordered room service and it was a good price for the food we got. Only concern is the bedsheets didn’t seem clean when we arrived. There were a couple of minor dirt stains, but other than that...
