Gayageum Korean Barbeque — Restaurant in East Java

I just ate here today. The food is great, yummy and everything but I couldn't say the same with the service. I know it may not look like a big deal but I ordered beer but they didn't serve it to me until I was almost done with my meal. They made me get up from my table and ask directly to them. And when I ask the waitress, she said "we're busy cleaning up. I will bring it to you when we're done". Now that's rude. Because while I keep waiting for my drink, I saw other waitresses completely doing something else. And Beer is not like a hot drink that may takes a couple of minutes to serve. It's just a bottle and a glass. And when the waitress served it to me, she didn't even open the lid and just give me the bottle and the glass. Like she's expecting me to open it myself with my bare hand. Wth? It's so common sense really. Then I have to ask AGAIN for the lid opener and seriously, she just gave it to me and not even taking initiative to open the bottle up for me. The place looks luxurious but the service is really not. Maybe next time they need to double check whether all of the orders are already served and please, you look like you got so many crew yet they look like they were busy doing something else rather than doing the job they're supposed to be doing. Hidden Gem Korean Restaurant di Malang nih. Karena dulu bekas Black Castle yg mahal jadi saya kira Gayageum juga mahal namun ternyata harganya sangat bersahabat di kantong saya. Gayageum ini juga tidak terlalu rame sehingga nyaman buat makan-makan atau bercengkrama bersama teman dan keluarga. Pelayanan para staff juga cepat dan ramah. Waktu itu saya memesan Mantul 2 dan Kimchi Jigae. Untuk Mantul 2 porsinya sangat pas untuk 4 orang. Surprisingly saya suka tekstur nasinya yg lembut dan 4 jenis side dish enak semua dong (suka banget sama kimchi dan kentang tumbuk berbumbunya). Sundubu Jigae-nya walaupun teman saya tidak suka, tetapi saya suka karena rasanya cenderung manis. Benar-benar recommended nih Mantul 2. Di Gayageum juga ada area bermain anak-anak dan pajangan rumah pokemon di kamar mandi yang lucu banget. Apakah saya akan kembali ke sini? Best Korean Barbeque in town. Many kind of marinades, wine, salt & pepper, teriyaki, curry, gochujang etc. Gochujang and wine was good (since I already tried) For the meat go for : strip loin, royal cut, cube roll and short plate. Definitely gonna be back! Uh, kimchi and kimchi fried Rice also...
