ANGELATO — Restaurant in Gorontalo

Went there several months ago. Never again.

The most boneheaded service ever witnessed in Indonesia. A pity because lovely decor and interesting menu for this isolated city

Walked in w/out wearing mask as I suffer due to restricted airflow. Staff made a beeline for my table saying that I had to get up and go out and come back inside wearing the mask. When I asked what the point was since other patrons were visibly not wearing a mask, the waitress said that they may have been completing their meal. I said that this was hardly likely since one of them was smoking and the other, equally mask less, was laughing and talking. The waitress then went broken record on me and said I had to mask up since this was restaurant policy.

Told her to forget it and just bring me the menu. She daid that they no longer had printed menus and patrons were supposed to download from the internet. Menus were eliminated due to hygiene concerns because of COVID-19.

I had enough by this time and we left. Most other customers of this place tend to be government civil servants and other paper pushers unaffected from the financial fallout of this manufactured crisis.

Good for my blood pressure not to be...

The place was so authentic and so clean. Very recomended for business meeting or spend some quality time with family. The food was tasty especially the sate marangi. Just cant get enough of it. The price is just fit for the local there and not so pricey.

Everytime i go to gorontalo i always visit this place.

Keep up the good work guys. If there's a michelin stars restaurant in Gorontalo. This should be the awarded place.

End the experience with a nice "Es Puter Ice Cream" as a dessert. Bring you back the childhood memories... hopefully someday will be open some new branch like in Manado maybe or Makassar perhaps....

We had dinner here 1 night. Great choice of dishes and drinks and all very reasonable priced. We all had pasta which was cooked well, nice sauce. The portion of lasagna was a bit small and not the right size compared to the photo on their menu. Place had outside and inside seating, well laid out in a beautiful building. Service was pretty good until at the cash register. Young man behind the their clearly had a cold or flu, was sniffing, took his face mask off, rubbed his nose and with his dirty hands he picked up my change.
