Location : Grogol, Jakarta Barat, Indonesia. Bakmi Alok, you don't have to bother choosing a menu because he only offers one type of noodle, namely “bakmi karet” topped with sliced chicken, no pork. But what makes it unique is that you can choose two versions of the oil for the noodles, namely using lard or chicken oil.
The difference in taste from these two oils is that pork oil tastes savory and really good aroma but not too salty, but chicken oil tastes saltier, so it depends on your taste which one you like.
You can choose between thigh and breast, foodies, this time I tried the chicken thigh meat and you should know that the texture is very soft with a salty and savory taste that makes the taste even more delicious
Eating noodles is definitely incomplete if it's not accompanied by dumplings and meatballs.
Make your own sweet dumplings with minced pork filling. The skin of the dumplings is thick and the gravy is better with spring onions. As for the meatballs themselves, the texture is not so chewy, but rather the taste of the meat is strong.
Another plus point from Bakmi Alok is that their service is really fast because as you can see in the photos you can see, they cook really 'cheesy' so you don't have to wait long to enjoy the true delicacy...
Read moreTaste Still one of my favorite noodle so far. You can choose between chicken thigh or chicken breast and to complete the experience you will also get one bowl of chicken broth that taste so good.
Price A bit pricey for my taste but I still can tolerate that.
Service As I came during a peak hour, I wasn't get a great experience so I really suggested that you put that in mind as this place really busy and parking might be another thing to consider as well.
Actually this place used to be my family go-to-place for a bowl of noodle every Sunday and never came back because I can find another Bakmi Ayam Alok store on my neighborhood and after several years I go back and find there's several things that I can suggest for the owner to take a look: The Waiting Time. During my last visit, I have to wait about 45 minutes for my noodle. Don't you think it's quite too long? Honestly I really like your noodle (it's one of my favorite) so I really hope the owner can The Cleanliness. I do understand that maintain the Cleanliness on a busy and high turnover customer might be challenging but I still believe it...
Read morejust like old days taste. super crowded but since covid not too crowded like usual but still many people eat there. the soup was lit. i love it if i could get a gallon of it i would eat it in one shot. no i'm kidding, but it is great to the point that people want to but the soup only until the shop had to put sign that they dont sell the soup. so the noodle is the thick one with kinda chewy texture and harder than other noodles, thus the name bakmi karet a.k.a rubber noodles. the texture not too hard not too soft. the soup was amazing (did i mention it again?) the chicken is a boiled chicken so the only taste is chicken meat taste. the sambal (chili) is different because i think they put like chilli sauce or ketchup?? bcs its kinda sour but its great companion to the chicken so the chicken get more flavor than just boiled chicken. the meatballs r not so great, just generic meatballs. the dumpling are so so too, i've taste better ones. well either you love...
