My curiosity over the place almost killed me. My mother spoke about it as if there's nothing like it. Then finally I got a chance to taste it myself.
The building isn't more than an old house compared to the neighborhood. What can we say, it's been there for ages. But even that small place attracts so much crowds than the place can bear. It's so not a special place to eat. It's hot and narrow all over the sides. Yet, it stands out in silence. No fancy mark or anything on its front, but still people come. People definitely come to eat here. They come for the menu, not the place.
So I ordered a bowl of chicken noodles with meatballs and wontons. My eyes catched a slice of mushroom along with the meat. I started to combine all of the things in the bowl. Something stroke me up, but I cannot identify it (until now). There was definitely a secret ingredient that made it outstanding around many other dishes. Maybe the owner glad that I couldn't recognize it, or otherwise I will copycat it đ
The noodles definitely homemade and was presented al dante, just as noodles supposed to be. The meatballs are crunchy and chewy at the same time. When I cut it in half, the meat fibers created circles. It's a good sign that it made mostly of meat and not starch. The wontons were excellent. Soft and tender as they're supposed to be. The stocks had a good smell, full of meat stocks and ingredients such as garlic and celery. The price? Worth every penny. No further question.
It's a bit salty if you eat it as yamien thou, but I guess it is designed to be a whole dish with the stocks. So far I must be agree with my mom and many others. It's one of the most authentic chicken noodles I've had ever...
Read moreJust visiting these shop for lunch, I've ordered mie ayam komplit (39k), two fried meatball (12k) & fried dumplings (6k). The noodles were great, even without any sauce. The taste is greater when you add their Sambal, but don't too much. The broth was unique, since their taste was different than others. The broth has lite taste, and they're use pickles (I don't know is it napa cabbage/tong cai) but it gives a unique taste. Since I've ordered Mie Ayam Komplit, I've got 2 meatballs and 2 dumplings as condiments. The dumplings were tasty, really. The meatballs were same like others. And, this noodle shop was A-list for my preferrence.
Looking forward to visiting this...
Read moreENAK SANGADD. Topingnya, alamakkk ayam kecap suirnya melimpah ditambah sayuran sawi, membuat makan saya menjadi tambah nikmat. Pangsit rebusnya juga gak kalah enak loh isian nya terasa, walau ditaruh di tempat kuah, tapi tidak membuat kulitnya menjadi lembek. Tekstur kulitnya tetap kokoh. Pelayanannya juga cepat ya. Keramahan si penyaji makanan, standar lah, gak bisa dibilang bagus, but ITS OK. Harga ya..Mahal iyaaaa banget, but its worthed lah, ada rasa ada harga, cius, kagak nipu, tempat ini membuat saya merogoh kantung celana agak sedikit dalam, hahaha, setahun sekali cincai lah. Semangkok Bihun Kuah Pangsit Rebus dibandrol Rp 34.000 Untuk minum saya pesan es Teh Tawar Rp 4.000 Nah ini baru menu makanan ya.
