My recent experience at Grand Mercure Kemayoran's Sunday brunch fell short of expectations, warranting a thorough critique. Despite being a frequent patron of Accor properties and other hotels, this particular visit left much to be desired.
The lack of attentive and hospitable staff was notable from the moment of arrival. Guests, including myself, were left to navigate the dining area unassisted, without any guidance or escort to their tables. This initial impression set a disappointing tone for the rest of the dining experience.
Moving onto the culinary offerings, the selection and taste of the food were disappointingly mediocre. Standout among the shortcomings was the state of the oysters, which took an unacceptable amount of time to be replenished and were presented in an unappealing and unsanitary manner. Such oversights detracted significantly from the overall dining experience.
Furthermore, the ambiance was marred by the disruptive behavior of the kitchen staff, who engaged in loud conversation and laughter throughout the service. Despite this, the managerial presence was noticeably absent, with the manager seemingly indifferent to the issues at hand, engrossed in other tasks.
Adding to the list of concerns was the unsanitary condition of the grill section, which was infested with flies. This raised serious questions regarding food safety and hygiene standards, further diminishing confidence in the establishment.
In light of these shortcomings, I would caution prospective diners against choosing Grand Mercure Kemayoran for their Sunday brunch experience. Given the multitude of dining options available within the same price range, it would be prudent to explore alternatives until significant improvements are made to address the issues highlighted.
In conclusion, while Grand Mercure Kemayoran may hold potential as a hospitality venue, my recent experience at their Sunday brunch failed to meet the standards expected of a reputable establishment. It is my hope that this feedback serves as constructive criticism, prompting necessary adjustments to enhance the dining experience for...
Read moreI think the sections placement is kinda messy, cause each section is so narrow, making the queue messy, maybe u need to rethink your floor plan.
Sashimi section is kinda wrecked, salmon sashimi was emptied quickly, but the refill is not quick enough. Like i said the floor plan sucks, fresh food should hv been near your kitchen instead of the middle. The first time i take salmon sashimi, its kinda fishy, not so good. But at the end of the eating journey, i tried again, and its tasty, i guess its a different fish?
I dont try the seafood, but my fam said its tasty tho one said i must be an old food, not so fresh.
Brazillian meat section, the meats and sausage are tasty, me like, but the brisket is kinda hard to chew, fat parts are hard too. I love the mushroom sauce, nice to combine with the meats.
Pasta, tried carbonara penne, love it, they made it with cream and heat it again with the cheese wheel, dayum.
Dimsum, i love the fried shrimp dumpling! siomay, hakau, tofu shrimp is just so so, btw i thought the salted egg bun will melt when opened, but no its dryyy.
For buffet section, i dont try everything, but i can say the fish and chicken is good, i forgot the name, the one u like to see in wedding lmao.
Dessert section is the best, i can say its really good. Every cake are tasty, i love the blueberry creme mousse, so good, choco fondue is good too, the choco is not too sweet, mix it with your cake or ice cream, so nice. Various cake selection like cheese cake, bread pudding, soes etc.
Its actually worth the money, but i put the line when there's flies inside the restaurant, sorry, saw it in the dessert section, our table, and outside grill section, it is relaxing on the food, nope, i cant take that. Also, why are you still presenting cracked glass in the table? I dont mind black spots in the plates, but cracks are dangerous.
Great staff, very helpful and nice. Great ambience, the decorations are good, but then again, maybe rethink the floor plan for the...
Read moreDont ever eat here. Portion of the buffet is limited by the variety of stuff. Wanted 3 siomay for one take and only given 2. Ordered the special beef offering for the night, was given fatty ends instead of edible meats . Where is the generosity and courtesy for guests who came for a happy dinner. I am left unsatisfied. I brought my family here and I regret wasting my time. Any diner who is seeking an adventurous experience for a dining buffet experience should not come here.
Finally, we came because of BCA credit card promotion for credit card holders, i am platinum card holder, apparently a platinum card does not deserve the promotion because of some shady logic they explain that it is not considered as a credit card form, they should really educate themselves. Their service is truly amateurish and inexperienced in respecting...
