Came back because I missed this restaurant, back in 2018, I came here so many times because work place is nearby and food was great. They maintained the quality of the food since day one they opened. However, upon coming back, one thing I noticed is the restaurant looks the same, no renovation or whatsoever, the only thing new is the installed a separator for smoking room and non. I am not saying they should do a major renovation but like the basic paint job should be given attention. It was an old paint and started peeling off because of water leaks. This is also not good because that means the wall has mould and this a restaurant which needs to maintain their hygiene. Place looked dirtier than before, there is a certain old smell but then again maybe because everything here is older and not well maintained. This is purely a feedback to a restaurant that I love so hopefully they do...
Read moreVery disappointing food. Not at all authentic to Japanese cuisine. The dish for the egg was not cleaned properly - it tasted like soap! Salad was unpleasant with its ginger tints. Miso soup was very weak. Beef teriyaki was okay, not too my liking, even though the waiter had recommended this one over another menu I picked.Yaki onigiri was also plain.
The waiters and waitresses also had a lazy attitude. It took maybe 20 minutes for food to arrive. They don't have enough space on their counter to plate food so they used one of the empty dining tables next to us which I find very unprofessional. I wasn't even doing eating and one of the waitresses approached me asking if she could take my plates (that I was still going to eat from), properly to fasten their closing as it was already night.
So expensive when you can get twice the better food, atmosphere, and service in Blok M for an even...
Read moreI am a regular here for almost the last 2 years. I ordered my favourite Salmon Teriyaki Teishoku, only to find somehow the food is served different.
I found a thick layer of flour on top of the salmon, despite the food is 'yaki' (grilled).
When i asked the waiter politely, i got unpleasant response from her, though i said I am a regular there, and i know shioyaki and teriyaki are both 'yaki' or grilled, the difference is one tasted salty while the other is sweet.
The waiter gave me 'education' about 'yaki' and somehow i felt that she was suspicious that I am going to ask for free food.
No. I stopped my dine there and paid the full amount. I think i already lost one of my regular dine place because the staff...
