Fish Streat Tebet — Restaurant in Jakarta

The place is not that far from Tebet Station, but not that close either (about 1km).

Not recommended going there using private car. There's technically no parking space for cars, so people (and the "parking attendants") just park on the sidewalk and annoy every pedestrian. But, hey, this is Indonesia.

Their parking lot are just for motorcycle, and it's spacious enough for the restaurant guests.

The place is quite big, enough for about 35 people inside, and 15 people outside (smoking area).

Note that you CAN'T reserve space via phone. So plan accordingly if you want to bring a group of people.

Now, the food.

If you want to try Fish & Co's Fish and Chips but don't have the budget, this place has it for 1/3 of their price but slightly smaller portion (it's still relatively big mind you). The "fish" part tastes really good, with perfectly fried coating and tartar sauce; and the "chips" part is not just some french fries, it also has its own seasoning.

For those of you who don't like tartar sauce, they also have marinara sauce, cheesy sauce, and spicy sauce, all with pasta.

If you don't like seafood, they also have fettucine with chicken and carbonara sauce. They also taste very good, with perfect sauce creaminess and perfectly cooked boneless chicken, but IMO, you're kinda missing the point if you go to this place and orders that. Use it as a bargaining chip for when your group of friends wants to eat somewhere, but you have non-seafood-eating friends in tow.

Sadly I can't comment for the other seafoods, because I actually disliked seafood. The fish and chips are...

Food is good, price is reasonable ( cheaper than Fish n Co ), venue is crowded, but you still have some comfy space without annoyed by another guest in next table... Service is good, even in a peak hour, for instance in dinner time, your order will be ready within 15-20 minutes. They receive credit/debit card for payment, but with additional charges, 2-3%, sorry I did not pay attention to the exact %. Minimum Rp 100,000 for payment by credit card, and Rp 50,000 by debit card. Btw, I read somewhere in media that actually no charges from banker for using card to pay a transaction. So why some merchant charges their guess for payment by card. So, I guess people will be more delightful if the additional charges is removed. And the minimum payment Rp 100,ooo is removed too.

The place is neat for hang out with friends or loved one. You can choose whether sitting on smoking area (outside) or non smoking area with conditioner. The menu is rather simple to enjoy seafood entirely from pasta to rice. The taste is that the dish has some creamy fantasy (melted cheese with cream sauce) is really appetizing.

The fish meat is fresh with crispy outside. What i am highlighting is that the portion and the price is really recommended. So you can put this restaurant in middle price range with high quality menu.
