Kinmori Restaurant, Patisserie and Roastery — Restaurant in Jakarta

The cake tasted so underwhelming. I tried the best selling strawberry shortcake. The sponge cake was dry, and the strawberry tasted bitter with abit foul smell. I think it might be spoiled. With that price point, it really isnt worth it. I came around 8.30 pm on a weekday, so maybe the cake is not as fresh. But the way the cashier treat me when I came in carrying my 3kg poodle (on my shoulder) to just do take outs when there's only 1 customer dining there, she blatantly told me it is not allowed, even though I told her I'm just going to do take outs and would not put my dog to walk around, leave a bitter taste on my mouth. I suppose they could do better training to handle such situation. Then maybe I could come and try their other dishes respectfully,...

Don’t come here if you’re hungry and want to eat quickly. Food portion is small for the price although the taste is pretty good. Service is terrible. Waited nearly an hour for our food. There were no apologies or even satisfactory explanation to why that is, nor an estimate of when our food will be ready. Only after 5 times (at least!) asking multiple waiters — and always being told that “it’s being processed”, we were finally told that their kitchen was understaffed. Then they gave us one small, hard and dry pastry to compensate for the wait of 3 people’s order. Hardly enough, honestly. Will not be returning.

Cakes and bread looked good though. Didn’t get to try because we already spent too much time waiting for small portion food :/
