UPDATE tried to visit recently, not as crowded as the hype period, but overall would revise my initial food recommendation, stick to the pad thai, I tried the pad see ew on my recent visit, it was too sweet, and the combination of carrot and corn is totally not working, as it made the overall dish taste weird
Tried as well the mango sticky rice, the sticky rice is over cooked, see the picture, it’s all sticking up and not up to the right quality standard of thai dish. - end update -

Also a quite hyped Thai restaurant recently. I tried this during dinner time last week. The place itself is jam packed during dinner time, luckily I got there just at the right time and there is 1 table free. But afterwards, i saw quite a few people are waiting and the waiting need to be outsides which is quite inconvenient.

However, I would still give the restaurant a 4 stars in terms of vibes, since as a frequent traveller to Bangkok, I found the interior is quite matching and the atmosphere is similar with the restaurant I visited in Thailand.

There is nothing to say about the service, it was OK, but nothing special, and also seems the staff are quite in a rush all the time due to restaurant is quite full. At 7 PM there are already a lot of food options is out of stock like the pandan chicken and mango sticky rice.

Now let’s get on to the food. A traditional dish of a country is quite hard to replicate and be authentic as the taste buds are also different. And this is exactly what happens in this restaurant, I found that their dishes are not authentic but done right, which is nothing short of a compliment. Because for me authentic is a bit overrated, you’re going to a restaurant for a good food, and that’s it.

Their Pad Thai is what I would highly recommend, it’s a bit on the wet rather than dry pad thai that I used to eat in Thailand, but taste wise is excellent. I order also their tom yum, and although the taste of soup is refreshing, but the prawns is just 3 pcs and for a 90k++ price of dish, it’s quite overpriced in my opinion, and this goes with all their soup based dishes. To close out the meal, I order their pandan you tiau (cakwe) which is actually the only dish i found taste quite authentic. It’s really more like the cakwe that is densed and needed for that dish as you’re dipping in the pandan paste compared to the cakwe we eat normally with porridge which is more airy.

Overall, it’s quite a nice restaurant to visit. My recommendation is stick to the non-soup dish, and you can find a great taste of Thai food that will not put holes in...

I visited Lisa Thai, a popular restaurant in West Jakarta, with great curiosity after work, around dinner time. Initially, parking was limited to around five cars in front of the restaurant, forcing others to park on the roadside, which seemed unsafe. Inside, we ordered the Beef Boat Noodle, Salmon, Pandan Chicken, and their special 6:00 PM menu, Mama Tom Yum.

The Beef Boat Noodle reminded me of Thailand and was satisfactory. The Pandan Chicken was well-seasoned to perfection, and the sour, vinegary Salmon was fresh. However, the Mama Tom Yum was just okay. Priced at 240k, I felt the serving size and toppings weren't entirely worth it. The tom yum soup was overly vinegary, lacking freshness from leaves and spices. I'd return for their regular menu but might skip the...

Update! I have tried their khao soi. The soup was thick and big portion, tasted good. Recently i tried their tom yum soup and pad thai. Pad thai was good, i like the taste. For their tom yum, i pretty like the soup, not too sour, but the seafood was still fishy. And ordered their pad kana moo krab, the rice with pork belly in soy sauce and greens. Too bad, the greens were too bitter. The pork belly was not that juicy. Thai milk tea was good, the sweetness was fine for me. The price was quite expensive, but fair portion. Wanna try their salmon salad but it sold out. Gracias ~
