Madame Mai — Restaurant in Jakarta

My favorite vietnamese chain restaurant in Jakarta/Indonesia. Well, you cannot compare the pho with overseas pho like australia/usa because the beef broth is different due to the quality of the beef. Although the portion of the meat is limited, but the taste of the soup is clean, rich, but not heavy at the same time.

The beef patty bahn mi is excellent! One of the best bahn mi I've ever taste. It deserves a praise.

Also the dry noodle/vermicili is my favorite. This is my safest bet when I'm in doubt what to order for my entree.

Well, I can't put a comment on the drink because I'm the guy who always go for a refill drink in a restaurant.

I walked in without any expectation, and walked out feeling super satisfied! They have the best 1) banh mi, even better than ones I ate in Ho Chi Minh; it was served crunchy, warm, full of topping and bursting with flavour. 2) Pho: broth was so rich, the rice noodle perfectly cooked. 3) We ordered 1 shrimp rice roll, and since it was so good, we added one more. Even the drinks and dessert were not overly sweet, and I can tell it was made fresh instead of using instant essence. Seriously, what taste bad here? Nothing! Honorary mention to their staffs, who were so attentive and full of smiles, it made me happy.
