These are my several top menus that I always get whenever I visit this place:
Martabak kubang. Pick the regular or special one, doesn't matter because they taste quite the same with sauce anyway.
Soto padang. It hits close to home for the authentic minang cuisine.
Roti Canai. It's a sweet butter-heavy bread which you can order as a dessert with cheese and chocolate bits or appetizer with lamb curry.
Kopi Talua. Basically coffee mixed with egg yolk stirred with condensed milk. You can't find it anywhere unless the restaurant have a peranakan specialty cuisine. The coffee taste varily but always 👌
Notes:
mind you that this restaurant is one of the go-to place for lunch no vallet but you can ask any parking boys around for a spot better visit for dinner they have sodas mixed with egg yolk if you are so damn...
Read moreFirst of all, the place is not as clean as it used to be. Small parking lot for a place for 40 to 60 consumers. There's a smoking area and non smoking area. Now the food, the martabak is not good as it used to be and the sauce is too plain, the fried rice still hold the traditional taste and I'm considering it still good. The soto padang fine by me. Next, the price; its outrageously expensive! For a normal martabak is 40k, the fried rice 35k, the soto it self 40k. The super martabak? 80k. excluding 10% tax! Thankfully, the water still free. For me its ok, but comparing to the taste? Not so much. FOOD: 7. PLACE:6.CLEANLINESS: 6. PRICE: 3. RECOMENDATION: If you have the money, go for it, but just a reminder, pagi sore is just a km away...
