Oemah Resto Cempaka Putih — Restaurant in Jakarta

Location, ambience, and service was good. But I'm shocked with with the food standard when I don't really expect much as long as it's okay but no, I was shocked with the taste. I don't know if I'm being unlucky when the review here mostly appreciating the food

I ordered Gurame Asam Manis : the pineapple taste was too strong that it becomes the sole flavour I could taste in my buds Capcay : the fishball cuts here was so fishy that I try to swallow it with half bottle of water Udang Mayonaise Wijen : The shrimp was dry and fishy (again). It's so bad that I only could eat a bite

A bit disappointed too with my takeaway (Fuyunghai) which supposed to be packed with sauce separated (because it'll get soggy and you won't be able to reheat it) yet I get it with the sauce spread on top. It doesn't last long in the end

I would appreciate the Ayam Pandan Thailand because that's the only food I ordered that I could say quite delicious, and Tahu Lada Garam that at least I have no complain with (though it taste just okay).

Not sure if I will come back, somehow traumatized with the flavours. Or maybe I will give another try and get different menu. Hope this could be a note for the restaurant to improve or find what are the cause to my food to...

Tried Oemah Resto in Cempaka Putih, in this visit, I ordered a few menus like Nasi Iga Bakar (rice served with Indonesian style grilled ribs served with fried tempeh, tofu, shrimp paste sambal, and broth soup), Rawon Komplit + Nasi (traditional East Javanese black beef soup served with white rice, bean sprouts, salted egg, and shrimp crackers), and Tahu Sutera Telur Asin (fried silken tofu in salted egg sauce). Their shrimp paste sambal is totally delicious 🥰. For beverage, I interested to try their Blue Lagoon and I also ordered Ice Cream on White Bread for dessert (basically 3 flavors ice creams of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry on top of white bread). All of their menu is pretty nice and totally recommended this restaurant for you guys to try while visiting Cempaka Putih area. Sudah makan di Oemah resto untuk kesekian kali karena rasanya selalu enak dan not too pricey. Tempatnya homey dan bisa banget untuk ajak kolega lunch atau dinner. Pelayanannya pun ramah banget.

Sayang hari ini menu favorit ayam panggang oriental sedang sold out. Ga heran karena oemah resto selalu penuh, apalagi di momen bukber. Next mau balik lagi untuk makan makanan favorit!

Hari ini pertama kali cobain bukber dengan grup Kindergarten. Reservasi bisa dilakukan jauh2 hari, kebetulan kami reserve H-4, dan oemah resto tanggap banget melayani prebooked menu yang kami order. Ketika ada yg sold out pun sudah diinfokan sebelum hari-H untuk memperlancar acara.

Pada Hari-H arrangement table sudah disiapkan, plus makanan dan minuman disajikan sesuai order kami yang banyak sekali. Kami paham bahwa jumlah pengunjung sangat banyak dan tidak mungkin semua dilayani sekaligus dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Untuk sedikit delay dalam penyajian beberapa pesanan di jam berbuka saya rasa masih dalam tahap wajar.

P.S.: For other guest who gave bad review to Oemah Resto because of us, I think it is really unfair to give a bad review for a non-restaurant mistake. Especially if the reason is not make sense, which request a peaceful surroundings in a public area. We are really aware that kids were having fun and made some noise. If you need a quiet or something more private, please kindly book the private room instead (which was still unoccupied). Please be a smart customer next time and also please DO NOT take others photo without consent and post it to media....
