Sederhana has been a semi permanent fixture of my childhood, since the day I leaned to appreciate spicy foods. Coming back to this chain has been a fond trip back the memory lane.
Padang food... There is something grand about drenching the rice with various broths and curries from the spread of dishes on the table. We pick our options and only pay for those we pick, but at the start of the meal were always given the full option. That being said, timing is key. If you come too late, then you'd get the leftovers. Come before dinner time for the most options available.
The beef tendon, the beef rendang, the beef liver, and the cassava leafs were highly recommended. My favourite dish, the grilled chicken, were unavailable that day, which made me real sad. The Padang satays were also out. But you don't need to have every dish to know the quality and the taste of this restaurant. Definitely a must visit for every trip...

Everything went well (except for the hot air con and flies) until we finished eating in and ordered ayam pop and rendang to go.... The waiter take notes and then give us our food using plastic used for groceries...when I asked why is the packaging looked liked this he said "o.. You want the paid to go bag?" See that is why you should be really careful in training your employees...and improve the service quality standards. That kind of plastic is only good for leftovers...
