Excellent food. Outstanding service. Huge selections of soups and fresh items to choose from.
Been eyeing to try them out for the longest time and, in attempt to avoid the notoriously long queue, we finally decided to make a phone reservation the week before. Phone reservation is available for min. of 1.5mil and max. of 8 pax or 1.8mil for max. of 10 pax. Or if you don't want to be obliged by the minimum bill, apparently their off-peak time is in the afternoon... up to before 6pm. Otherwise... I've heard of people waiting for more than 2 hours to get a table.
Since there were 8 of us, I would say we pretty much covered the whole menu. We opted for combination of 3 soups: Spicy sichuan peppercorn soup (level 1 of 3), pork bone soup, herbal chicken soup. For Sichuan spices lovers, you'll definitely love their soup. It's not too numbing and doesn't overpowers the broth itself. The pork bone soup was too porky for our taste. Where as the herbal chicken soup was suprisingly very good. I personally was rather worried it'd taste too herbally, at first. It turns out to be a the best of the three... for us at least.
Items ordered includes: squid, sweet potato noodle, la mian, shrimp wontons, fish balls, fish paste, shrimp balls, shrimp paste, beef balls, pork balls, pork slices, luncheon meat, assorted vegies, assorted mushrooms, lotus roots, fried beancurd, fried beancurd rolls, etc.
Recommended items includes beef balls, shrimp wontons, fishballs, and beef tongue.
P.s.: you can even ask the attendant at the condiments bar to concoct a mixture of...
Read moreI was going to eat here early because I had to wait because the waiting list, but because now the branches are pretty much already, so they don't get crowded first. Yesterday having fun here, every time I must order the two combination soups, the pork bone and mala, I personally like the pork bone, because the taste is just right, for the mala soup, if I can't cause usually inhaled just for cooking dyes, because it's too spicy for me
What is required to order for me if you eat here: crispy fried pork: this pork is fried crispy the spice seems to be using c night, but not to strong Fuzou fish ball: This is really good so the fish meatballs inside are filled with .... fresh pork meat balls: this is also really good when cooked in mala soup well, in my opinion ... fresh prawns and pork dumplings fish paste (my fave) is not fishy ... Fried bean curd tofu and best cooked in the evening pork belly I don't know if I like fatty meat well for crystal meth
In my opinion, the meatball and paste menu here is delicious, besides the choice of meat, which is also various, and here I also have a lot of sauces and there are wan shuinya leaves, we can take and mix them according to our taste if my favorite concoction (if I like it) soy sauce, wan shui, sesame, chili rice 🌶, little bit sugar,...
Read moreHave heard about this restaurant 蜀国印象•火锅 (Shu Guo Yin Xiang • Huo Guo) from friends who have been there. The responses have generally been very positive. Tried it myself last night with some friends. The hotpot was superb, the soup we had was excellent; the food was fresh. We also brought a bottle of red wine; corkage fee was reasonable. Overall we were very satisfied. The waiters and waitresses were helpful and courteous. The restaurant has two floors; the second floor has private rooms for those in group or want some privacy. It is recommended to make reservation whenever possible. When we finished our dinner last night, tables on the first floor were still fully occupied. One drawback, the restaurant is located in the Lokasari complex. Parking is extremely difficult especially in the evening (may also be so on weekends). I understand the restaurant has branched out to PIK area and there will also be a new one in Pluit. Shu Guo Yin Xiang roughly can be translated as “Impression of Sichuan.” (Shu/Shu Guo is the ancient name of Sichuan during the Three Kingdoms period). Huo Guo means Hotpot. Enjoy the delicious...
