Tio Ciu 78 Chinese Food — Restaurant in Jakarta

Back to Tio Ciu 78 Mangga Besar after a long time, I ordered Sapi Lada Hitam (black pepper beef) and Mun Tahu (tofu cooked with minced meat and spring onion). Both is my comfort food while visiting Chinese food. Totally recommended this restaurant for you guys to try while visiting Mangga Besar area. Notes for you guys, this restaurant is little, quaint and cozy old style Chinese food restaurant. I recommend you guys to bring motorcycle rather than car, since the parking area is in the side of the street and pretty tight. I like Ayam saos mentega. They serve it with a lot of kuah. The gurame tahu tausi also superb. Usually we order gurame asam manis or just simple fried gurame, but gurame tausi is above all, lol. The capcay also excellent, simple yet delicious. The fuyunghai is okay. We come at noon time for lunch, so waiting list. The officer who is waiting in front of the door is very helpful and recommend us to order fist to expedite the makan time. The parking is limited though. I think this one is one of the best Chinese restaurant in jakarta!

They served many delicious dishes, like their fried chicken, cap cay (mix of vegetables and meat), and kodok goreng mentega (for those who haven't eat it, it tastes like chicken).

The place is pretty clean, but pretty small. So I won't recommend to eat here in lunch time or dinner time, because it is usually crowded and usually there is a waiting list.
