Social Affair - AEON MALL Tanjung Barat — Restaurant in Jakarta

Located at the main foyer on the ground floor of the AEON MALL at Tanjung Barat, this branch of the chain Social Affair is rather cosy and laid back.

There are outdoor seating available for those who prefer to be out in natural air though I would prefer the in house dining with air conditioning.

Music is laid back and the place is not too crowded during weekdays. The service is also good with very attentive and polite staff all around. The seats are OK but the double seating benches are rather low in seating position, so just take note.

Food is good, though a bit pricey but that's what you pay with the ambience. There's a lot of choice and the portion is rather big for the average local. Choices are a mix of western fused with local influence.

I'll recommend the place if you have something to celebrate though it be may not accommodate a rather...

Social Affair has various menu from pasta, pastries, and coffee. Had their butter croissant that has the texture of bread, less buttery in the inside and less crispy on the outside. It was too dry. The Avocado Affogato was too runny due to too much water, they could served it with less water instead. The coffee taste was okay, not my favorite. Crispy Dalgona tasted okay, it was edible, wouldn’t recommend it.

Ambiance was comfy, I was able to have a nice with meeting with friends. Outdoor space is available as smoking area. Place is big enough for 30 people.

Service was okay and serving time was quick.

Price is reasonable, spent IDR...

Well i love the ambiance of the place. The food is okay. Tasty eventho' a bit pricey. And there are 2 seatings available (indoor and outdoor). They are comfy.

I tried to scan the menu on the table, there are some differences with the menu given. Idk why.

The menus are quite interesting like the new bubur summum croissant. Maybe would give it a try some other time.

I tried the truffle pasta and it was so yummy eventho' i think the truffle oil is a bit too much. It has a very strong fragrance. And the portion is okay. Eventho' for the pastries, they are quite tiny (the quiche tbe). Taste wise i would rate 4.5...
