I never rate a restaurant this bad. I know this is a budget steakhouse, but the service is pretty poor and the food is ludicrous. I ordered a medium rare ribeye, 200g, with sauteed mushroom and creamy spinach. 147k IDR. Food came in less than 5 minutes. Got a very raw steak with the meat still in full red. And the outer parts are burnt. Kinda suspicious, but the red meat tells you directly that the steakhouse isn't at a class that can serve a good medium rare. That's OK. So I asked the server if they can cook it a little bit more. Very common request in steakhouses. This is what rubbed me in a very wrong way. Instead of getting the steak back to the kitchen, he rudely brushed me off. "Supaya bisa diatur sesuai keinginan mas silakan gunakan hot plate dari kami," with an elevated tone (previously the server told me that to keep the medium rare as rare, they can serve the steak in a normal plate, which I agreed). They offered the normal plate in the first place, but now I was the one at fault here? I had to pause for a moment but eventually agreed. Soon after, the hot plate arrived, and the server without saying anything just put it on the table and left. What the hell with this rude service? I had to call him back to help me with moving the steak to the plate. He looked confused but didn't say anything and moved it to the hot plate. Of course, the idea of recooking the steak ourselves is ridiculously inane, because the undercooked parts are everywhere in the meat. And, as expected, the meat itself is less than decent. It's not tough, but smells a bit perfume-y, and a little bit bland. The burnt parts left nothing to be desired about. Sauce isn't remarkable either, but it's a budget steakhouse so I didn't expect much. The worst part, however, is the sidedish. Mushroom and spinach. They're so freaking cold, felt like they're just out of the freezer. And the spinach is so bad. It's a cold, withering spinach with some mayonbaise as a dressing. What's so "creamy spinach" about it? Worst I've eaten so far. Even Abuba can do it much better. That's about it. Once again, I know this is a budget steakhouse. But with such a terrible service and poor frozen food, man, who the hell enjoy eating steaks at this place? Such a shame because I like the vibe and the fun, lighthearted menu.

It had never occurred to me that there would be a proper steak restaurant in East Jakarta. Steak on Top is one of the places that offers steak at an affordable price and with a sufficiently large portion. When I went there, I ordered their special Ramadan menu, which was lamb chop with peri-peri sauce plus sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes. The lamb chop was quite large, the meat was not tough, and when combined with the peri-peri sauce, the smoky flavor of the lamb chop became even more prominent. The sautéed mushrooms were a bit bland, and the mashed potatoes were quite soft, complemented by the savory gravy. Everything was served in large portions. And of course, I will definitely go back to try other menu items.

My wife, my maid, and me eat here for an early dinner. Because they have buy one get one free offers, we order 1 Steak On and get 1 free Steak On, then 1 Chicken Parmigiana and get 1 free Chicken Steak. The Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Steak are thick and juicy. The Steak On is a little bit off expectation because based on the texture and taste, most likely they are made of meltique. For the Buy One Get One price, it is very well worth it, but on the list price, I would say that it is like 15-20 percent overpriced. So if you want to try, I advise that you come here while the offer last. Come early to get your seat as the place is packed starting from 17 30 onward
