It's a fancier restaurant in Virgin beach compared to the other restaurants there. However the price isn't that expensive. 85.000 rupiah for a plate of prawn 🦐
[Must read] 👇 There was a bit of misunderstanding when we were there. My mom and I are local tourists from Jakarta. When we visited, it was lunch time. It's ideal for us to find a place to eat. We came to the restaurant, and the owner said it's booked for private party. We saw a bunch of Russian tourists (10+ adults and kids). Yet we saw so many empty tables.
The Russians looked at us weirdly, and they were talking in their language. We saw the leader of that group talked and complained about our presence to the owner.
Soon the owner's brother came to us and apologized. We were welcomed and seated. He explained that the Russians booked the land (a small camping ground) next to the restaurant for a 12-day camping. And they wished for no other customers to eat at the restaurant for that 12 days. See, we came during the pandemic over the Christmas and New Year holidays.
I thought that's so rude of them to do that. They clearly didn't book the restaurant, only the camping ground. Sure, they order food and eat there. What's disappointing is that the owner himself was on Russian' side! Thankfully, the brother and other staff were nice and warmly welcome us, local tourists.
I suggest for local restaurant owners, please treat all kind of customers equally. Just because the Russians have more party and are foreigner, that doesn't mean that they can rule you. And for any foreign tourists in my country, Indonesia, don't you be rude to the locals. You aren't on your land, remember that. We all must respect each other.
In the end, we still enjoyed our time there and thank you for the warm welcome and service🙏😊 and oh they have amazing chili sauce made of local coconut oil. It's perfect to go with...
Read moreI've been visiting this place since 2020 everytime I visited Bali because of the service. I think they opened a bit before or maybe at the start of the Covid era. This time though, the service was so bad, I'd rather take my business to the other neighboring places in the future.
This time I came, we ordered the seafood basket and fish sandwich. There were big fishbones in both those orders. I called their most senior waitress and told her about this. Her immediate response: Oh, there are only a few.
What the hell, lady! It only takes one fishbone to choke my 7-year old daughter.
And they have cats there...lots of them since last I came 8 months before in March 2023. These felines are such a nuisance as they will readily grab any food from your hands, like those monkeys in Uluwatu and the monkey forest. Has this place become a cat's den?! And that waitress' response: We've had cats since back then.
Such uncouth responses. Maybe because it has become their standard attitude to local or Asian customers....
Read moreWe were curious about this place, went to lunch. Unfortunately, the owner is a racist. After we put the order in, we were waiting for food, then my husband walk around to see different zone of this cafe, just curious. The owner shout to my husband like he is a child: what do you what? That is not the way to speak to a guest. But we noticed the owner speak to white customer like he is a slave. Then we realise only us is Asian, all the other guests here were white people.
we cancelled the order and walked out.
The stuff was asking why we leave. The owner yelled behind us: cancel, cancel the order.
By the way, there are many cats here would jump on guests knees or dinning table while the guests eating, quite annoying too.
So for Asian and none white people, suggest you go different cafe to...
