Experiencing a broad cross section of Sidemen's culinary offerings through several visits leaves little doubt in my mind ... d'padi offers exceptional balance. This is no easy feat. Given the challenge of creating a focused and refined menu with clear representation of diverse Indonesian flavours - whilst accommodating Western palates' 'sensitivities', d'padi's astute venue and menu design delivers in spades.
The staff are simply lovely. Especially when they relax a little and realise that not all customers are high-maintenance, their personalities really shine. The aesthetic is simply beautiful, with carefully detailed dining spaces, lush garden elements, and spectacular panoramic views.
If I had to be picky I'd recommend chef incorporates an 'asli' (authentic) setting especially for menu items such as Rendang. This would be a boon for travellers who've established their cabe-chops ... in other words: although the Rendang is utterly on-pointe - far more aligned with the Minang dry-curry style than the sloppy gravy laden Malay-style rendang - a little chilli silakhan! Mungkin Sambal Hijau. Regarding di'padi rendang .... enaaaak dan asyiiik!!!! Spices A1! 'Cut' it with your garpu (fork) shred it up like pulled beef, and get it through that excellent rice and urap2. But sorry, I digress. Rendang renders me gila sekali (in a really good way!) What else ...? Wifey for lifey likey lilit lagi! Enaak juga. Fish cakes (mmm), and the lumpiah (spring rolls) on a saucy sate bed (omg). And yes - if you enjoy a well-made cocktail, then Made's your uncle. Well, Made's someone's uncle, or aunty, and once you've partaken in cheer and libations at d'padi's digestation-station, make'm no mistaken, your taste buds shall awaken.

Read moreMy dining experience at Dâpadi Restaurant in Sidemen, Bali was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the magical view that provided a stunning backdrop to an unforgettable meal.
I started with a couple of delightful starters that set the tone for the evening. The freshness and creativity of the dishes were evident in every bite. For the main course, I opted for the broiled chicken, which was cooked to perfection â tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To round off the meal, I indulged in a soft chocolate cake for dessert, which was the perfect balance of rich and light, melting in my mouth with every forkful.
The service at Dâpadi was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was taken care of. It truly was a 10/10 experience, enhancing the already incredible ambiance of the restaurant.
Dining at Dâpadi is an experience I highly recommend to anyone visiting Sidemen, Bali. Whether you are a food enthusiast or simply looking for a serene and beautiful place to enjoy a meal, Dâpadi exceeds expectations...
Read moreGood meal. The service was amazing, food was average. The crackers that started the meal mightâve been our favorite. We got the: fish cakes - dry Tuna Tataki - great! No complaints and Iâd come back for this Beef Randang - dry and not tender. Had to try hard to cut it and it came without a sauce. I had to ask for sauce and let it sit to make it slightly moist. Wouldnât recommend. Cesaer Salad - croutons werenât crunchy, salad came overdressed. Good amount of chicken and bacon though. Mango Cheesecake - good overall but needs much more of the yellow sauce that comes in the side. Chocolate Lava Cake - good but not great. Garden Tart - good flavor if you like a zesty dessert but the crumble on the outside fell apart as soon as you put your spoon in.
Overall the vibe here is great and the service is good. Just fell a little flat on the food. Love...
