Liang Bak Kut Teh - 亮肉骨茶 — Restaurant in Kelapa Dua

A Malaysian style bak kut teh restaurant located at Arcadia square. You can clearly spot their building from the road. Bcause their exterior & interior are both 亮 (liàng). "Literally means bright in mandarin." They have chinese style interior & ornaments. Seating capacity at 1st floor for 24-28 ppl (forgot to ask if there's dine area at 2nd floor) Since it's malaysian style bak kut teh, it's different to singaporean style. The broth has deeper color & heavier chinese herbal flavour, lighter in garlic & white pepper. Ordered bak kut teh paikut with you tiao, it tasted so delicious. One plus point is after eating, I didn't feel thirsty at all, meaning they don't use much MSG or maybe no MSG at all, Fuiyooh. In this review, I would like to give 1 feedback to management. Wanted to eat Bakut Teh & accidentally found this place, so I've decided to give it a try.

Order the Slice Pork Bakut Teh, Cakue, Rice, and for the drink I tried their Liang Teh

Foods: The Bakut Teh was decent (7/10), for me the soup was good but the smell is too subtle & doesn't come out much. The slice meat was good and very generous amount! 👍 1 portion can be shared for 2 person. Don't forget to mix in the salty soy sauce with the chilies in the soup for extra taste & heat.

The cakue was so good! (9/10)🤌👍 Don't forget to dip it in the soup.

Drinks: The Liang Teh was okay in taste not too sweet (6.5/10), pricewise it was worth it because the amount is generous!! Probably around 400 ml.

During my visit to the restaurant with my relatives, I was highly impressed by the quality of the food. Every dish we tried was delicious, with the Bak Kut Teh offering a rich and flavorful taste and fried Samcan standing out as one of great dishes. However, the highlight of our meal was the cukiok, which exceeded my expectations. The tendon was exceptionally soft and the meat was tender, making it an unforgettable dish. This experience made me truly appreciate cukiok.
