You can disagree whatever you like, but I consider myself as a charsiew connoisseur. I've eaten a humongous amount of charsiew made by hundreds of pork joints. I've developed special tastebuds in my mouth sensitive only to charsiew. And I can tell you -without any doubt- that the charsiew here is up there among the best. Cooking charsiew properly means striking a balance between savoury and sweet. A delicate balance only a few chefs can achieve, let alone to master. That is why when I first tasted the charsiew here, I was very impressed with the depth of taste, the tenderness of the meat, and above all, the balance. But the problem with a one hit song is that the rest of the songs in the same album are struggling to keep up. Their chicken curry noodle needs more seasoning, their pork skewers successfully resist biting, and their bacang is a dissapointment in both taste and price. Visited here during lebaran holiday. We came around 1900 just in time for dinner, i can see the line up is quite scary. But lucky us, there is just the two of us, easy to squeeze some where in the corner. I can see other tables are still waiting for their order, i think the Chinese dishes take quite a while. Our nasi campur, come quite fast less then 5 min. We ordered extra honey casiu, best decision btw,you guys should do it too if u come in a very empty stomach. The nasi campur portion is small (i cant even type "quite small") im sorry but it is small.... Small! But i cant complain, it is very delicious! I will come back again to try their Chinese food, judging from the pictures they put on the menu, it's very intriguing!...
