Crowded Underwhelming Salmon with bones?! Re-heated steak?!

Location - 1/5 It failed to impress me that a two storey place that is supposed to look good and has unique design couldn't fit enough people on a normal Saturday. I had to wait 45 minutes with low expectations of getting a good seat.

Service - 3/5 Mixed feeling on this one. The waiter is kind, although after they've served our food, there weren't any utensils at all. I had to call the waiter to give us a fork a knife.

Food - 1/5 This score is the highest I can give. If I could give it a 0, I would.

The fact that their salmon steak has bones inside turned me off. Why? I mean why would a salmon steak has bones, shouldn't it be fillet? Imagine eating a steak while worrying that a piece of bone would be stuck in your throat or you have to spit it out from your mouth. This is a steak house not a Chinese restaurant, heck even Chinese restaurant serves fillet fish.

Abuba offers two version of their steak, local beef and imported beef. Avoid "local" beef at whatever cost, they are nothing but beef that doesn't meet the standards to be called "imported". Their local tenderloin look and taste nothing like tenderloin (it has fat). There's no point in picking how you want your steak (medium, well done, etc) you'll be served pre-cooked and re-heated steak. Their potato wedges is awful and the sauce is bland.

The pandemic might have affected this restaurant, last time I was here it...

I've arrive at 11pm, the place were very quiet, of course there were only 3 visitors including me. The waiter are very polite and humble, the place are very clean, include the toilets, and the air also very fresh and Judging from the seats arrangement, the place should be comfortable enough even when it's full. It took exactly 6minutes after the order were placed for my drinks to come, and another 4minutes for the food. For a steakhouse, that was fast. I ordered 2 main menu, a welldone australian sirloin and medium welldone local tenderloin. While the sirloin nicely grilled , the tenderloin does'nt, it seems that the tenderloin does not receive the same heat accross it surface, some were overcook, some were medium, and some were medium welldone. Actually our waiter do ask me to chek the meat, sadly the first bite i took are the good one,so i said to the waiter that our food are okay. The milkshake on the other hand are lovely, i love the smell and texture of fresh milk, i do ask for a less sugar on my milkshake. Btw... the toilet at 2nd floor, it's very clean.. but i do feel a bit creepy though.

Layanan buka puasa disini enggak banget. H-1 sebelum dateng udah disuruh isi order by WA, pikiran sampe sana akan siap terhidang pas di jam buka puasa. Nyata nya pas adzan magrib pun minuman yang kita pesan tidak datang2. Akhirnya harus request dan komplain dulu ke waitress nya kalo kita minta air untuk membatalkan puasa. (Kirain air mineral yang dikasih complimentary karena keterlambatan mereka, ternyata enggak, harus bayar.)

Karena minuman & makanannya blm kunjung datang juga, akhirnya kita solat dulu. Jd kira2 20-25 menit makanan baru keluar dari setelah adzan magrib. Sempet ada salah2 juga, ya salah saus lah, ya salah tingkat kematangan daging lah, dll. Side dish (appetizer) juga datengnya malah setelah kita selesai makan besar (ini juga harus ditanyain terus)

Menu kita sudah paket dengan Dessert juga, dessert datangnya 1,5 jam dari kita selesai makan besar. Ini juga harus berulang2 ditanyain sampe saya berkali2 berkunjung ke depan kitchennya, mau tau lagi pada ngapain di dapur, siapa tau lagi solat taraweh berjamaah :”)

Menunggu dan menunggu, akhirnya 2 choco lava with ice cream kami datang, datang dengan kondisi ice creamnya mencair (spt digambar) ini foto pas waitressnya baru taro ke meja kami. Choco lava nya udah bukan lava lagi, keras.

2 dessert lainnya, orea fruit blast juga tdk kunjung datang sampai akhirnya kita memutuskan untuk close order. Masih sempet ditawarkan dibungkus, saya tanya berapa lama lagi harus tunggu untuk dibungkus? Katanya 5 menit. 5 menit berlalu sampe ke 8 menit belum keluar juga, alhasil kami tinggal aja.

Tidak cuma kami, keluarga disamping kami juga akhirnya close order dgn kondisi makanan belum keluar semua. Jelas mereka marah2, ada berkunjung juga ke kolom komentar disini kasih bintang 1.

Memang menjengkelkan sih, kita juga paham ini situasinya crowded karena sedang jam buka puasa. Tapi apa gunanya nulis order menu h-1 by WA? Lalu kenapa banyak yg menyelak antrian? Kami liat ada yang baru datang udah dapet order ini itu. Anyway, semoga bisa ditingkatkan lagi pelayanannya, arrange time and job managementnya dari manager resto ke staff2nya. Semoga ada improvement kedepannya.

Tapi kayaknya kami ga akan mampir...
