Colabo Cafe - Daytime Community Cafe & Jazz Dinner Session — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We were the first customers to arrive at the restaurant today and unfortunately had a very negative experience. I ordered the Lemon Herb Barramundi, and my partner ordered the Chicken Steak. My fish arrived approximately 20+ minutes before my partner's meal. I waited a while to start eating, but eventually had to as I didn't want it to get cold. By the time his Chicken Steak finally arrived, I had already finished my entire dish.

I received a very small portion of fries (around 10) with my meal and had to ask for more while I was eating. I also requested ketchup and mayonnaise when placing my order, but the mayonnaise was forgotten and I had to ask for it again specifically for the extra fries. These extra fries finally arrived after my partner's meal was served.

To make matters worse, my partner's Chicken Steak was served with cold potatoes, and the sauce appeared old in a separate bowl. He even had to get up and ask about his meal's whereabouts after a significant delay. While the staff said it was coming and excused themselves, they never once checked on us during our meal. They seemed more preoccupied with their phones.

The lack of service was outrageous, especially considering we were the first customers and the restaurant was not busy (two other couples arrived later). While they comped the extra fries (which I hadn't even ordered as a separate side), they offered an apology but NO discount for the unacceptable delay in my partner's meal, which resulted in us eating at completely different times. This is not normal dining etiquette, especially for the price we paid. I would not recommend this restaurant based on...

Horrible experience. Booked a table for 7 people the day before and no problem with getting our table the next day. BUT it took 20 minutes to flag down one of the two waiters working. Order placed at 12:15 in a relatively quiet restaurant. After ONE hour of waiting for our simple order, nasi goreng, ceasar salad, tom yum, vegetarian spring rolls and ayam goreng or fried chicken. Very simple basic Indonesian food. Nothing special. I asked the waiter to call the manager as it was now 13:15 and no food.

Food was finally delivered around 13:25 except the ceasar salad that arrived around 13:35.

Thought it would be good to talk to the manager and he apologized that he was short of kitchen staff as they had another event? Poor management.

Finally the food arrived and it was horrible, rice dry, nasi goreng horrible, really not fit to eat.

Half of the food was left on the table.

The waiter apologized and he was polite throughout the ordeal.

It was my third experience there and my last.

Wake up and I hope the owner reads this.

I'm embarrassed as i invited 6 local Baliness for lunch and they couldn't eat the local food.

Nice atmosphere but forget it if you're looking for...

We were recommended by our hotel staff but were really disappointed by our experience here, especially as it was our first meal since arriving. Upon arrival, the man at the desk was sleeping face down at the till. Someone else came and sat us down, but he didn’t look like he wanted to be there. No warmth in the greeting. Ordered Nasi Goreng and Barramundi. No one was at the restaurant but food took a while to arrive… 20min. Nasi goreng came out by itself - looked ok but lacking love. Tasted ok except chicken satays were stone cold! Made me feel a bit nervous getting sick on first day so put to the side. My wife’s meal didn’t arrive for another 15min… we were hoping for the best but unfortunately the barramundi was inedible. After pulling it apart, the flesh was all sticky, either not cooked or super old. Handed it back to them, paid for one meal and left. Had amazing meals at all other warungs since! Maybe we caught the staff on a bad day looking at the reviews… maybe they all had a bender on the Friday...
