Warunk Upnormal — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

The place was packed full even at 23.30. Enough parking space, very brightly lit at night. They have music in the background but sometimes it can't be heard due to lots of people. Visitors are mainly groups of university students. People also can play borrowed board games.

The front is outdoor seating for smokers, inside for non-smokers have freezing central aircon - heard few people sneezed. To get in one must pass through the door in the middle of smokers. Therefore inside one can still smell strong smoke 👎

The food: portions are small. Lots of choices, mostly spicy. Price not include 10% VAT. No service charge. Overall taste was great. Decent waiting time despite of lots of order👍

I wish the bowls to be less deep/more wide. No chopsticks:( No tissues (must get it yourselves at cashier?) Wifi is free but cannot cater to lots of visitors. I couldn't login at all.

There's only 1 cashier. The line was very, very long, and the guy at the cashier already lost his voice but he still served his best. Asked for upper thigh chicken, he said: I'll check. When he came back from the kitchen he asked with serious face: Do you prefer the right side or the left side upper thigh? XD;; But when food came we still got lower thigh.

Lots of electric plugs. They claim to have 100.

The coffee: They claim to use 100% Arabica of Gayo origin from Aceh, Northest of Sumatra. Tried their 8 hours cold brew. Packed in thick dark plastic bottles, 7 oz / 200ml. Pure coffee no sugar no cream. Very good, fruity aroma, full body, very, very...

VERY VERY LOUD. can be very loud when middle school and high school students come in. they play jenga/uno stacko very loudly and doing stupid bet. come here twice, the first time it was just a little loud, that's fine. but the second time it was chaos.

The food is tasty, there are a lot of selection that looks really good. not only food, the drinks are good too! Staff is friendly and attentive i love it here. The place is big and should be very comfy if there are just normal people inside. I think you can sit outside to minimize the risk.

About price, it was very affordable. so cheap so you need to be careful what you ordered you might ended up order too much hahaha. a bit of surprise the es jeruk is actually mixed with...

SO MANY FOOD CHOICES! Honestly, we were a bit confused when we came here the first time. They have 2 kinds of menu from 2 restaurants with a lot of choices of food. We then randomly picked our dishes and it turned out to be our favorite! I ordered Nasi Kambing Masak Cabe Hijau and my husband ordered Nasi Gilang. Both were delicious. We came here many times afterwards and still ordered the same dishes lol. They have various side dishes and desserts also. We tried orange blaster, crazy longans and bakso goreng. They’re all yummy! The place was also super cozy. Spacious with AC for indoor space, they also have spacious outdoor space. We paid around 100k for 2pax whenever we ate here....
