Yorimichi, the gem of Japanese cuisine nestled in the heart of Bali, has been our culinary haven for years. From our early days in Jimbaran to our current abode on the other side of the city, this restaurant has been a constant source of delight for our family. Ani, the talented owner and masterful chef, has never ceased to amaze us with her culinary prowess. The dishes that emerge from her kitchen are nothing short of culinary artistry. Each visit to Yorimichi is a culinary journey that tantalizes our taste buds and transports us to the heart of Japan. The gyutan, with its tender and perfectly grilled beef tongue, is a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate. The salmon teriyaki, glazed to perfection, offers a harmonious balance of sweet and savory notes that leaves us craving for more. The unagi set, with its luscious eel and delicate sauces, is a true testament to the authenticity of the cuisine. But it doesn't stop there. Yorimichi's negitoro rolls are a delightful medley of fresh tuna and scallions, expertly rolled into mouthwatering morsels. And let's not forget the nabemono, a hot pot filled with the freshest ingredients, inviting us to savor every spoonful. Beyond the impeccable cuisine, the warm and welcoming ambiance of Yorimichi adds to the overall experience. The traditional Japanese decor and friendly staff make each visit feel like a journey to Japan itself. In conclusion, Yorimichi is not just a restaurant; it's a cherished part of our culinary journey in Bali. Ani's dedication to her craft shines through in every dish, and her passion for Japanese cuisine is evident in the flavors that grace our table. Yorimichi is a place where memories are made, and where we continue to create new ones with each visit. It's a restaurant that has become an integral part of our family's story, and we look forward to many more years of delicious adventures at Yorimichi.

I came here due to high expectations from other reviewer... who said that "its the best authentic Japanese food in Bali..." I believe that most of them are exaggerate or never eat "real" Japanese food at all Well here's what I think : 1. Location : its located in a busy residential main street, its very hard to find parking there. Be warned that after 5pm there are a lot of peddlers selling stuff on left and right of the sidewalk thus will make looking for parking place a lot more difficult. My father in law happen to have a villa around this area so I know traffic here very well. 2. Waiting time : I only order 3 dishes and it took about 45-50 minutes for them to be served. 3. Food : After a long and sweaty wait I expect the food would be out of this world ! But... I was dissapointed again.... Gyoza is served in wierd manner like they are making pancakes and just roll up the pan in the serving plates, tonkatsu rice is very wet and wattery, unadon is too sweet and judging from the sauce taste I believe the use local sweet sauce instead of the original unagi sauce (maybe ABC or kecap sedap I believe.... meeeehhhhhh) I dont mean to brag but I do have a little experience about japanese food (please check my other review) and if other reviewer said that this is the real Japanese food taste then maybe all the cooks and chef in Japan must learn here... 4. Price : Price is averange not too expensive 5. Portion : Portion is good for adult and maybe a bit much for children Conclusion : Hard parking space + hot and sweaty long waiting time + wierd "authentic" japanese taste = 1 star

Found a Japanese resto in Jimbaran, and we actually expecting much bcs it seems authentic and the ambiance is nice. My husband and I ordered 4 dishes, bcs we really love Japanese food. Ordered Gyutan, Saba, Ramen & Tuna maki. Other than the super slow service, we're surprised that none of it taste nice. You know it's not a proper japanese resto if you cant find tofu and wakame in the miso soup, you will find bean sprout, cabbage and random veg instead. The gyutan sliced really thick and overcooked I can barely chew it, turns out I asked my husband to finished it. And you'll rarely find a hard boiled egg inside of a good ramen, but this resto serve differently in not a very good way. The sushi rice is overcooked and too mushy. Not forget to mention the lemon they use, the taste of local lemon is not really good to pair with the dish, since this is not a super cheap kind of dish. This resto definitely needs a lot of improvements on their food taste & quality. We rarely left our food unfinished even it's not very nice, but not this time.

To interpret this review correctly, we must have the same perception of this restaurant. This is a home style Japanese restaurant that serves home style Japanese food. It deserves a 5 star for a home-style type of restaurant. So don't compare it to a 5 star super expensive high end Japanese restaurant and be disappointed when you come here.

Food: The food taste very good and fresh. Good plating presentation, but not super polished like a high end restaurant.

Price: Depending on what you order, some of them are very average, but if you order their sashimi, they're very inexpensive. I didn't see any item on the menu that's too overpriced.

Service: friendly waiter. Serving food time could be slow because for now the owner of the restaurant is the only cook and she has some help from 1 or 2 staffs. So don't expect a fast meal. This is a good place if you just wanna eat and hang out and talk with your friends.

Location/ambience: we went there at 8pm, parking was easy on the side of the road, right in front of the restaurant. This place is definitely the owner's residence, so you're eating in their garden or one of their rooms converted to a dining room. We ate comfortably in a private room with AC that fits 8 people. The rest of the dining area don't have AC...
