ElMasry Egyptian & Arabic Grill مطعم المصرى — Restaurant in Kuta

Set out to dine at a new restaurant I found on Google maps and what a fantastic choice it was!! Started with the mixed cold mezza platter served with fresh hot flatbread. Hubby doesn't like eggplant but tried the baba ghanoush anyway and was really surprised to find he really enjoyed it along with everything else on the mezza plate. Next up we had hawawshi, a flatbread filled with savoury lamb mince and so flavoursome. Then we had the mixed grill plate, a mix of lamb kofta, chicken wings, lamb and chicken kebabs served with rice. Everything was scrumptious especially the rice which was full of flavour and so light and fluffy. At the end of our meal much to Hubby's delight we were given complementary rice pudding. The owner Mohammed is warm and welcoming sharing his story with us. We wish him all the best success with this restaurant and the new branch opening soon in Nusa Dua. We both thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal and look forward to dining there again. All up 530,000rp including two drinks plus a take away...

I visited El-Masry on July 28, 2024, with a friend I had just met from Egypt. After seeing its high rating on Google and finding it listed as one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants, I decided to check it out. It turned out that the food was indeed authentic Egyptian, especially the kunafa. I really enjoyed it; it wasn’t too sweet but just right and delicious. The owner was also very friendly, including his wife, who is currently pregnant, and their adorable daughter (sorry for giving you candy that didn’t quite suit your taste, sweetie).

If you go to Bali, you must visit this restaurant. The food is delicious and halal, and the prices are reasonable for Middle Eastern cuisine in Bali. Unfortunately, there are no El-Masry branches...

Wow !!! Like wow! This restaurant surprised me . After I had tried all the Arabic restaurants in Bali and this is my #1.

The food is absolutely amazing, offering authentic Arabic dishes like juicy kebabs, flavorful biryanis, creamy hummus, and fresh mezzeh and the authentic shawarma in whole of BALI . The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home.

The owner’s exceptional customer service made our visit even more special, ensuring every detail was perfect.

Definitely a 5-star spot for anyone craving a true taste of Arabic cuisine!
