Hara at The Hurun — Restaurant in Lampung

We were planning a birthday event at Hara and reached out few weeks in advance to inquire and fine tune the details for the event. We were in contact primarily with Angie and Talita via Whatsapp, both of whom were very receptive and accomodating to our requests, even offered us a selection of complimentary birthday cakes to choose from. Nando assisted us throughout the event and we couldn’t be more impressed with their level of dedication in providing us with such an excellent service. Hara did not normally offer buffet for weekday dinner and our event was on a Monday, but they obliged us because we said we would much prefer to host a birthday dinner in a buffet setting so that it feels more casual for our guests to come and try different items on the menu. We really appreciate that Angie and her team came through for us and made the event into such a happily memorable evening for our dad’s 75th birthday. The food and drink selections were outstanding and anything that seemed low was quickly replenished without us having to request it. Nando kept checking on us to make sure everything was to our liking and the event went fabulously smooth. We stayed two nights at the resort and the breakfast experience at Hara was equally impressive. Yesi was there to assist us for the two mornings of our stay, she always greeted us with a warm smile, walked us to our table and made sure to get everyone’s coffee order correctly. Hara is spacious with lots of elegantly designed seatings, both indoor and outdoor, with a view of the pools and the ocean and an attractive prep area in the center. Went here for christmas day lunch and definitely had a really great time. I would say, the ambience was out of this world. They really put so much heart and toughts for the christmas decor, the gingerbread house was just WOW. The food was amazing, stuffed turkey, angus beef steak, beef wellington, yorkshire pudding, fresh seafood. They also offered some asian cuisines like roasted peking duck, dimsum, springroll, and some stir-fry as well. And they also had some of Indonesian food like Ikan bakar sambal colo-colo, pempek, some varietes of sambal, and much more. But in my opinion, the star of the show was their dessert section, it was just too good to be true! Also the hospitality was very good, the staffs were very helpful and friendly, also the santa that gave some presents to kids absolutely made it more special. But if I could give some advice, it would be nice if the staffs improve their service by paying more attention in clearing the plates and refill the guests’ water, but overall their hospitality was really good. We had breakfast at this restaurant, which is part of the Marriott Resort facilities. The dining area is spacious and cozy, with an outdoor section offering a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the sea.

The buffet offers a wide variety of choices and is always well-stocked. You can even customize your own soup, and the server will cook it for you. There's also a fresh juice station where you can pick your own fruits and vegetables — the staff will make the juice on the spot.

The breakfast spread includes a large selection of pastries, omelets, traditional dishes, continental options, and even Japanese cuisine. Everything is well-prepared and delicious.

Chef Maria personally came to our table to greet us and ask for our feedback on the food, which added a nice personal touch. The servers were all friendly and greeted us with warm smiles.
